If you don't stand up and applaud this man by the end of this video, there's something wrong with you. That resilience, that determination. Not only in appealing his grade, but in thriving at an institution that has closed its doors to people like us for generations. I cannot articulate proud I am of you, Ibz. You have paved a path for the underprivileged in an elitist world. I don't know even half of what you've been through, but I know that if I develop even a quarter of your drive, I will be able to accomplish anything. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Nicky L working class people but in particular black and Asian minorities Before, you start about white working class, who is stopping them, our prime minister is white, most of department of education and universities are white Direct this to middle class whites that hold you back, with have class and our skin colour It’s only getting better now, there is no affirmative action in uk so we can celebrate, you can carry on hating though, it’s makes me smile
The main beneficiaries of "affirmative action" in the USA are white women and that's a FACT! No such thing as affirmative action exists in the UK anyway. Why do white people get so bothered when they see working class ethnic minorities thriving? You guys try to make every excuse under the sun, whereas in reality study after study proves that ethnic minorities have to work thrice as hard as white people in order to successfully obtain the same opportunities.
This is a prime example of KNOWING YOUR WORTH!!!!! Ibz you've done us and yourself more than proud. You really deserve every success that comes your way. Unbelievable. Keep shining! xx
Honestly, I feel as if we're in the beginning of season 4 since we've seen the 3 years of him in University. But I get what you mean. He finally got a 2:1 again at the end of his last year like he did in his 1st year. Congrats Ibz you have truly inspired me to work like a bad b*tch from GCSEs to University. Your 2:1 is well deserved.
This video felt like the "old Ibz", I'm happy you got your 2:1. You deserve that more than anyone. You remind me a lot of myself, we're smart but have some character issues that can be very limiting. I hope you've learned a lot from your whole university experience and I'm sure got become bigger and better. Looking forward to your videos. All the best with law school...
I am also from a european country, and I too find it weird that 70% is like almost the best. Where I am from 70% is good, don't get me wrong, but it's let's say nothing special, 90% + is considered amazing😀 but yeah, maybe your exams are indeed a lot harder, I haven't looked that deaply into it!
@@LauraDeFeh because instead of focusing on letting everyone do well they want to let the select few who are truly exceptional to be the stand out people who get top marks.
@@Aelcro well in my mind that doesn't make sense, as what eceptional we can get if it's only 50% after all, guessing like 60% for A*, plus not really a fair judgement of students, as exams should be a mean of testing the knowledge gained in school, not something extraordinary. But then again I do believe that A level grade boundaries fluctuate based on how people do in the specific year, which is not a thing where I am from

I went through the same thing this year (2nd year)! My grandma died during exam term and I had to go to her funeral on the day of my last exam, so I missed it. My first grade was a 2.2 because the missed exam counted as a fail (and ofc it's Cambridge, no resits UGH) but eventually they accepted my appeal in August and my grade got brought up to a 1st! it was such a weird experience though because I was in limbo for literally TWO MONTHS so I had no idea what to tell people abt my results :/ massive congrats on getting through the process and getting your rightful 2.1!!
Congratulations Ibz! I am so proud of you! I honestly feel like this 'fight' for what you deserve was just a testament to you and another interesting chapter in your life story. Like watching through your videos, it is so clear that you have always had to hustle in your life and a weird poetic way, it is nice that the end of your undergrad journey reflected that. I will defo use this video as a source of motivation and inspiration whenever I need it (i.e. now lol, so perfect timing). From one Hackney kid to another, I am super proud you managed to rep the endz! ❤️
Really glad things worked out in the end. I admire your resilience and the fact you chose not to settle for less even though it was really exhausting to appeal.
You deserve every success, you worked so hard, we are all proud❤️ Well done, for being strong and continuing the journey. You are an inspiration to us all x
This goes to show that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. No matter what you go through, you will get all the blessings and things that you deserve if you seek hard enough for it. Well done, Ibz for the 2 1 and thank you for continuing to inspire others through your journey
Congratulations Ibrahim on so MANY levels: First and foremost, congratulations on your graduation and your final grade!!! You DID work hard throughout MUCH MORE than 3 years in order to get that degree, through so many, many struggles that we only know some of, not all. Secondly, congratulations for your continued hard work and determination to see that your hard work was afforded the respect and grade it rightly deserved instead of just shrugging your shoulder and thinking, “Oh well.” Ibz, since the start of your journey even way back in GCSE, it is clear you have had leadership qualities and have had to rely on those qualities to see you through some extremely trying times to ensure you are never treated or given less than you deserve. The fact you took on the “mystic” of appeal because you honestly felt it was the right thing to do, continues to speak volumes about your leadership qualities and your ability to face many more of the stresses and strains that will come your way as you progress in this adult life. So, I congratulate you on this decision and on not baking down from it because it was the right thing to do. Thirdly, congratulations on receiving all the accolades and recognition for all you have done thus far in just a few short years to try to right the wrongs of the word log for others too and for showing society today that even a young lad from Hackney, with everything going against him, has and deserves a place at the table and is just as capable of achieving new heights as someone more privileged at the start through his own hard work and determination and that class, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or anything else should not limit possibilities but, more importantly, should not limit doors being opened and supported equally in this world. So, congratulations on the awards, on the recognition and on opening the possibilities to others to follow by setting the way. Finally, congratulations on your experiences to date in your law conversion course and in finding a way to turn the worries of only a couple of months ago into a learning opportunity that will help you to take that next step. I am uncertain which area of law you intend to pursue, but may I suggest Human Rights Law? You could combine your knowledge and experience with education and psychology to help others in that field as well because Human Rights Law included education law and the psychological impact of war and/or totalitarian rule on the rights and outcomes in education of those who are not as fortunate as we are here or other Democratic societies. Just a suggestion though. I believed this is the same field Amal Clooney is in as well, so you could read up on it and her experiences and background. Congratulations Ibrahim, you are a wonderful example for our young gene hereto on and for how persistence and determination can achieve even the greatest of impossible dreams!!! Your resilience is SO inspiring Ibz. On top of working hard and overcoming major obstacles, you did not settle for anything short of what you deserve, I have a lot to learn from you
Hi Ibz. Just thought you’d appreciate knowing that Philip Pullman (world-famous author of the His Dark Materials trilogy) was awarded a THIRD class degree in English Literature from the university of Oxford. Despite only receiving a third-class degree, he went on to write some of the best-selling fantasy novels of all time. It’s your choice as to whether you let this grade define you: talent, passion and hard work will take you further than a first class degree is capable of taking you. All the best!
Congratulations!!!! You are a star. That paper doesn’t add or take away your value. I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾 Jeremiah 29:11
I cried finding out what he got in the end! As a third year university student myself this just gives me the push to get the grade I want. Very well done you 🤍
I'm so proud as someone from Hackney, Such as Joy seeing you get that 2.1. I'm looking forward to getting 2.1/ 1st this year myself. This video has given me some of that "Seasoning" for this reminder of semester 1 and semester 2, like you've always suggested. Could you make some Seasoning merch as well?? Wheres the Ads....
So so so proud of you, just received my Part II Final year results for Classics at Cambridge and I'm beginning the process of my appeal. I feel utterly robbed of my 2.1 that I worked so hard for all year. I achieved 65 in half my papers, and then a third in one paper!!!! This result has dragged my overall grade down, and, as an estranged student, I'm feeling gravely disadvantaged. Do you have any advice at all? I would appreciate so much, been following you for a while since around 2016/7, and watching this video has instilled in me a fight to get the grade I know I deserve at Cambridge xxx
I've just finished my masters and i had a similar problem with my final project, you motivating me to go out and stand up for my self and fight them on it
Watched you from day one and the journey is almost ending. . You have come a long way and have a great story to tell. I am sure it will be exciting how you get on in the Corporate world. Anyways a two fingered salute you did Hackney proud.
Despite all this, you came this far and not every individual who came from a disadvantaged background has had the same determination, persistence and drive that you have had. You will always be my role model and someone who motivates me to do good in my exams
Hi,iam a student .do you know you can hire a cyber expert to change your poor grade to a beter grade on your school website.contact machinehack64@gmail.com or whatsapp +18503474802
IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I honestly started smiling when I heard you got your appeal!!!!! You deserve it so much, keep working hard through law school. You’ve bloody got this 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’m soooo happy for you Ibz, Welldone!!!! I had a similar story to yours regarding getting a very low grade in my undergraduate dissertation, but was so happy to hear that your grade changes to a 2:1......... your amazing and sooo intelligent
You'll probably never see this but its almost 3am in the second term of my second year studying at Cambridge University - I'm feeling really low and stressed because I'm drowning in work. This video has motivated me to get back up and finish my essay. Thank you for inspiring me and so many people currently studying at uni :))
even though i felt so tempted to just scroll down to the comment section and quench my curiosity (so many teasers througout the video ) , i literally watched all the way till the end. and now what ? my eyes are welling up with tears ... I'm so happy for you! I'm wishing you a ton of luck for this new journey you'll embark on
YESSS IBZ I'm so happy your appeal was successful and you got the results you DESERVED!! Congrats!! Unis make the appeal process difficult on purpose 🙄 I went thru the procedural route (the psych department already hated me) and unsurprisingly, it was unsuccessful 😂
Congrats Ibz! So so happy for you. Have been following your vids since day and to see you grow on this incredible journey and get the grade you deserve is everything.
The bad dissertation grade could definitely be twisted in your favour! I just finished my master's in physics and recently did PhD interviews. My transcript is an absolute mess for a variety of mental health reasons so I had some grades that were 90% and others that were 28%. Initially I was really worried about this but I explained everything in my interviews and used it as a way to describe my growth as a person. Long story short I was offered a PhD position so all is good and bad grades aren't the end of the world if you know how to spin them.
Ay man, your undergrad isn’t that deep. Everything seems so deep right now but your value isn’t determined by your grades. Appeal it, but don’t put your self-worth in what happens.. as you said, congratulations for graduating from the University of Cambridge. I thought I was out of depth when I flopped my A-levels, got a 2:1 in International Relations from uni and now ya boy doing medicine at the top uni in Scotland. It’s all good man. Keep pushing. The best things for you are already destined for you. Keep pushing bro. Good luck. Edit: Just finished the whole video - AYYYYYYY
@Ibz Mo. God bless you brother, I'm actually inspired by your journey. Your resilience, hard work and aspire to succeed got you there. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step and bro you have taken it to a long successful career. Your advice is key and I've been watching all your videos, not skipping the ads- despite I found none 😂, truly bro I admire you. Thank you for your time, despite your tough and rough journey. May God fulfill all your wishes and dreams.
well done ibz, honestly a 2.2 isn't just 10x harder to get a TC, for city law its fatal and even for other corporate firms its pretty prohibitive unless you have a few years of work experience so im breathing a huge sigh of relief for you
You’re amazing. You embody what it means to be a fighter and you have so much courage, honestly you’re an inspiration and your beautiful soul just emanates and glows from your body. During my undergrad I had it really tough, I had a nervous breakdown, anxiety went through the roof. My mother had psychotic episodes and often at times she’d run away, so I’d be driving around the neighbourhood late at night trying to find her. Then my only solid support system - my dad - died suddenly. So no there was no financial or emotional support from my family. My university was very considerate and very supportive of my work. Without my tutors I don’t think I’d of graduated with a first class degree. I’ve moved onto honours now (at a different university) and eventually I’m hoping to study medicine, but things are very difficult and many people are telling me that I should just give up on my dream. Due to having depression, anxiety and adhd, but I know I can handle the pressures of med school, as most of my issues stem from my family. I’m also a full time carer to my mum, whose moods fluctuate every day, hour, and second. She also suffers from a chronic and painful disease with no cure, so her mobility is limited. I have no one who can financially or emotionally support me. I see a psychologist and Dr. but it’s very hard and takes a lot of energy to change your neural pathways and form more effective and healthier coping mechanisms. I was working full time, but it didn’t allow me to study for the med entrance exam. So at the moment I’m living off benefits. With the extreme pressure to perform well - I need to get averages of at least 80% and perform well on the six hour med entrance exam - and make sure my mum is okay and ensure that I’m looking after my mental health effectively, it just seems so impossible. But, listening to your story has given me so much hope and at the end when you were showing your degree I was smiling like crazy. Thank you so much, your story means a lot to me and thank you for sharing it ❤️💕
I respect you so much and im so inspired by your journey ibz mo! Thank you for sharing your journey! And, i wish you all the best on your next chapter! Smash it Ibz Mo!!

So fucking proud of you Ibz! You pushed through despite all that life through at you. You deserve that 2:1. All the best with law school and training contracts. You’ll smash it xx
Listennnnnnn, my uni fully messed me and my dissertation up! Uni was the worst thing to ever happen to me tbh! It really messed with my mental health and even though i've not received what i deserved, i'm glad it's all in the past. I'm so glad you pushed for it Ibz... Congratulations!!
He is so right! Uni is hard, but harder without paper trail. Always tell people when something goes wrong. Tell your Tutor , Director of Studies. Disability advice, Money advice. GP and Email Student Finance England and tell them if you have to. Because it’s on record you engaged and no one can say you didn’t do anything. Edit, I got so emotional at the end. I am proud of you!
I feel you. It is so unbelievable that some teachers are so subjective in grading. I once got a grade down because they like the content but not the format of my writing. I hope u all the best in appeal

Dude I was prepping myself to watch an ad at the beginning. C'mon Ibz we are here to pay your bills boi x
After 7 months I finally received my appeal result and I now have a First Class Degree, so happy!!! This video helped a lot
You’ve bloody got this 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’ve been watching your channel from the beginning and I’m SO proud of you Ibz! ❤️🎉
ibz the ads didn’t work for me ;( make sure you’re still getting your coin!!!
I’m soooo happy for you Ibz, Welldone!!!! I had a similar story to yours regarding getting a very low grade in my undergraduate dissertation, but was so happy to hear that your grade changes to a 2:1......... your amazing and sooo intelligent
im so proud of you ibz just seeing where you've come from its actually mad
You'll probably never see this but its almost 3am in the second term of my second year studying at Cambridge University - I'm feeling really low and stressed because I'm drowning in work. This video has motivated me to get back up and finish my essay. Thank you for inspiring me and so many people currently studying at uni :))
Heya:) just wanted to say that I'm also a cambridge second year and completely understand what you're feeling. You got this !!!
do you have any tips from an incoming undergraduate?
even though i felt so tempted to just scroll down to the comment section and quench my curiosity (so many teasers througout the video ) , i literally watched all the way till the end. and now what ? my eyes are welling up with tears ...
Congratulations!! You've put in so much hard work. I wish you all the best!
is it just me... there no ads?
The bad dissertation grade could definitely be twisted in your favour! I just finished my master's in physics and recently did PhD interviews. My transcript is an absolute mess for a variety of mental health reasons so I had some grades that were 90% and others that were 28%. Initially I was really worried about this but I explained everything in my interviews and used it as a way to describe my growth as a person. Long story short I was offered a PhD position so all is good and bad grades aren't the end of the world if you know how to spin them.
There’s really no other TH-camr that I would sit through five minute ads for except you ibz
congrats Ibz, you're such an inspiration and truly deserve this 💗 so happy for you!!
Good luck.
Edit: Just finished the whole video - AYYYYYYY
so are you at Edinburgh or Glasgow now?
St. Andrew's?
@@MonicaRad19 well id disagree with that one haha
Undergrad is quite important considering he wants to go to law school
Wait, bro how did you get into medicine with international relations? Don't you need a med related degree, or is it just the A levels you need?
May God fulfill all your wishes and dreams.
just watched a 7 min ad for you, go get that bread, you absolutely deserve it! go get into that mfin law school, you got this
Ibz, YOU ARE TRULY MY INSPIRATION!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOU JOURNEY SINCE DAY ONE!
YYAAASSS Ibz mashAllah you deserve the end result!! good for you, you worked your ass off and achieved so much!! xx
You are such an inspiration I'm hoping I can get through this last year myself 🙏
Congratulations! You've inspired so many and deserve everything you've achieved!
I watching this so late... but literally just CRIED FOR YOU!!!! like honestly YESSS! You fought for what you deserve!
wow. WOW. he is so motivational. i love the way he fights for what he deserves. what an inspiration!!
well done ibz, honestly a 2.2 isn't just 10x harder to get a TC, for city law its fatal and even for other corporate firms its pretty prohibitive unless you have a few years of work experience so im breathing a huge sigh of relief for you
You’re amazing.
Thank you so much, your story means a lot to me and thank you for sharing it ❤️💕
Ibz: Please don't skip the ads!

The ending of this got me gasssssed for you! Smashed it Ibz!
I’m so proud of you Ibz, like you said to me once... your amazing ❤️
Only 3 words for you.
MashAllah.
Hats off.
Nothing else.

THE END MADE ME SO EMOTIONAL MAN IVE SEEN UR WHOLE JOURNEY !!! UR SO FUCKING AMAZING 🎉🎉🎉😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
aw im so happy for you, you deserve everything, i wish you all the success x
Absolutely well deserved! You are amazing and inspirational!
I'm watching this video in lockdown, you are a very inspirational person thank you and good luck for everything.
