    I recently got my ScubaPro Nova Seawings and I love them. Maneuverable, powerful, great with any style of finning.

      Great fins. I have them also.

    Best fins in my humble opinion- Hollis F1 for dry suit, Apeks RK3 for wetsuit, Mares Avanti Quattro best all round. All fitted with spring clips as Mark says. All these fins will allow ease of all finning techniques.

    Did my OW and AOW with a "Mares Volo Power"(Hinged/channelled Fins), great for endurance swimming, BAD for trim... now i use a "Limited Edition Blue Camo Scubapro jetfins" (Vented hard rubber fins), matches my "Mares XR Blue Battle"(Backplate/Wing BCD) BCD ;) ..... but i actually require heavy fins to balance me out, and now i dive with peak buoyancy. Diving DIR Rocks!

    I love my Apollo bio split fins with a spring strap

    Hi Mark, great video however.... no one ever talks about the differences in fin buoyancy! New divers researching fins need to consider this before making their 1st purchase! I love my fins but they are negatively buoyant and really affect my trim!!!!

    Force fins, I love them, compact too...

    I agree with Jonnie Bangkok re: frog kick with spit fins. Do it all day long in my V12’s. Assume the rumour was started by the competition!

    Thanks for this review of fins. I recently started using ScubaPro Twin Jet Max split fins and really like them. Not because my knees and ankles are weak by any means but they are easier on my old joints.... lol.

    • @danielheribertozamorarange28

      Exactly that's what's they are for, I don't say I would never going to used but while my knees can I would use other kind, for ocean blue water dives I use free diving fins for summer I use a Hurricane fins ( old pair may be older than me) but I loved it because they float and for winter I use scubapro jetfin which compensate the wetsuit that I use 🤟🏻

    Seakodive(Taiwan) vented rubber dive fins, spring heel strap with big rubber thumb slip to pull the on...they're just like the one you have hanging up in your background minus the hole in the middle at the tip.

    I have Scubapro twin jet max and they actually frog kick quite well. But I still feel that I need a pair of Apeks RK3's in my life too!

    I use 3 different types of fins. I have a set of Akona full foot for the Caribbean and a set of vented scuba pro as well as a set of scuba pro razors. All have a different feel and and I use them with with different suits I have.

    And oceanic vipers

    I have Cressi Pro Light. I like the blade and behaviour, but I have a few issues with it: 1) Changing to the largest size bungee strap is way too tight, so I'm stuck with the click strap and hate this. 2) When coming back up, my boots are gaining back their volume and it's really hard to take them off. Any advice or tip are welcome.

    Deep6 eddy fins will be the best thing you can get for yourself if you're a frog kicker!

    Do you think bright yellow fins are a good idea? (Sharks)

      Can you clarify your question?

    • @leopoldbloom4835
      @leopoldbloom4835 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@captainpanda5533 There's the notion sharks might be attracted by strong contrasts between a dark wetsuit and bright coloured fins or even your hands.

    • @captainpanda5533
      @captainpanda5533 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@leopoldbloom4835 Huh, I'd never heard that before. Is there evidence to back that up? (Do I need to buy a new set of fins?)

    • @leopoldbloom4835
      @leopoldbloom4835 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@captainpanda5533 When I was shark diving at Elphinstone, no-one cared, not even the oceanic whitetips. Still, there are serious sources who back that advice. I guess it's not a red rag to a bull (fun fact: bulls don't care which colour the rag is), but strong contrasts can draw the sharks attention. Let's #askmark.

      One of the findings from research was the colour of an object floating in the water had a strong influence on the likelihood that a shark would approach and interact with it. Highly reflective silvery and white objects were more likely to attract bull and tiger sharks than blue or black objects.
      Quoted from google
      When you think about this and how many fish have yellow tails, it makes sense to not have visually different colours. Yellowtail, yellowtail kingfish, yellow fin tuna, etc. I would like to know others opinion on this.
