stick joint I think you’re right. Having watched it again, it very much looks like a Motion Scan was used to digitise and singers. It’s especially noticeable in the few close up shots, their faces look very ‘3D scanned’. Still probably killed a bunch of roto and motion tracking artists tracking the camera and comping them into the scene. Very interesting to see Motion Scanning being used for things like this, I’d almost forgotten about the technology for capturing people’s performances after hearing they did it for L.A. Noir!
if they used a modern photogrammetry tech like e.g. metastage they can capture fully textured 3d meshes with minimal manual cleanup--the tech has come along really quickly
I doubt there's any rotoscoping involved. Everything looks 3D, including characters, backgrounds and special effects. It's all motion capture mixed with 3D animation.
I would describe it as being so far on the right side of the internet it now borders the weird side of the internet. Like instead of going to the middle of a book, you bend the to front and back cover to touch.
This is not ska wtf 🤣 they're using a slide blues rock riff and they're rapping over it. As someone else said, there aren't even any trumpets. This is a Jpop rap and blues fusion if anything
I love how this whole music video is basically animated and the anime that has this as their intro is about a characters working on animation for an anime
Here's my amateur take on how they did it (hope these theories aren't obvious to most people) Step 1: Use a 360 setup of cameras in a specialized recording studio to take a stream of many images to put it together into a video of 3D data. You can do this yourself with a computer program/process called "photogrammetry" and your phone. But to do video.. you'd just need.. many cameras that can record and then use the same program with many.. many images to process. Step 2: Using a camera which locally logs its position with a motion sensor like in phones to just track where they would be in the room (which they are not in, its a 3D model) or tracked with a different camera recording the main camera, the main camera could have a tracking sticker/image on it and on a wall for reference in a 3D space (probably the first option) Step 3: Import all the frames of them dancing into a reconstructed simple version of the environment they're in so you can apply the model's shadows to surfaces like walls and floors to look accurate to where they would land in real life. Step 4: Set the virtual camera's movement to the recorded real camera's movement, this is why they look like they are in the room, they rotate according to the real camera's rotation. After this you have full creative ability to shape and form the 3D models in any way you want, take off the texture, bend, shrink and view them from any angle. This includes the one where they become small on the table and you view them from high up. I wouldn't doubt the whole environment is a 3D model, the windows are blocked out with a white panel and the room itself feels kinda flat. Although when looking at some things that don't need to be super detailed like the coffee table having dents on the corners and how good the normal maps are for the inconsistencies (fingerprints and stuff) it makes me think the light is just used to diffuse the fake lights they would have on a set. Not sure on the fake 3D Model thing but after putting so much effort into the rest of the video they really could have done it. And anyone who thinks these aren't 3D models (I only saw one person), when they look up sometimes, their hair connects to their sholders like it's a body part 0:26 . Because it's hard to tell the depth of hair so it just assumes it's an extension or connected to the nearest object; it thinks it's the same. Not to mention the more obvious.. bending and texture removing.. Finally, at the end of the video, it's real footage. (which supports the counter argument of the room not being a 3d model, but they still could have green screened it) If you have any other suggestions or notice an error in my theory please tell me!
Easier theory. Use green screen room, mark the human and freely change everything and put the singer here and there. Which explains why the singer is easily bent, resized, change background, etc Higher theory, they use the 360 body tracking room thing that changes you to a 3D model and then freely put everything into motion Edit: if you see the credit, you'll see that they use 4D technology which support my second theory
The people who animated this video did a EXTREMELY GREAT JOB, IT'S SPECTACULAR and it really fits with the style of the song, everyone did a good job
Im guessing they used some array of cameras to capture the singers
MAJIDE, SORE
It's technically impressive but I feel the clip moves too slowly for such a high tempo song. Add that with how they stare into nothing the whole time it's a bit uncomfortable. Maybe I'm just missing the meaning of the lyrics.

of all the things we were bringing back from the 2000's this decade, i was not expecting ska to be one of them
for me 2k music was epic so i am very happy about this :D
If this is ska it needs more trumpets
This is not ska wtf 🤣 they're using a slide blues rock riff and they're rapping over it. As someone else said, there aren't even any trumpets. This is a Jpop rap and blues fusion if anything
"The new song which will become a genre unto itself will be called Easy Breezy"
The game’s working as intended with no bugs

won't fix this shit
will pass as a feature

@Sakuranovich Mikolai litterally every Ubisoft game on first day release
It just works
The harmony between animation and song is excellent. I think it's the best music video for the first quarter of 2020.
I love how this whole music video is basically animated and the anime that has this as their intro is about a characters working on animation for an anime
I feel like I just had a stroke
and it felt GREAT
Here's my amateur take on how they did it (hope these theories aren't obvious to most people)
Step 1: Use a 360 setup of cameras in a specialized recording studio to take a stream of many images to put it together into a video of 3D data. You can do this yourself with a computer program/process called "photogrammetry" and your phone. But to do video.. you'd just need.. many cameras that can record and then use the same program with many.. many images to process.
Step 2: Using a camera which locally logs its position with a motion sensor like in phones to just track where they would be in the room (which they are not in, its a 3D model) or tracked with a different camera recording the main camera, the main camera could have a tracking sticker/image on it and on a wall for reference in a 3D space (probably the first option)
Step 3: Import all the frames of them dancing into a reconstructed simple version of the environment they're in so you can apply the model's shadows to surfaces like walls and floors to look accurate to where they would land in real life.
(which supports the counter argument of the room not being a 3d model, but they still could have green screened it)
If you have any other suggestions or notice an error in my theory please tell me!
Nah fam I think you high.
This is literally just a Stedicam rig and vfx. Not a lot beyond that.
Easier theory. Use green screen room, mark the human and freely change everything and put the singer here and there. Which explains why the singer is easily bent, resized, change background, etc
Higher theory, they use the 360 body tracking room thing that changes you to a 3D model and then freely put everything into motion
Edit: if you see the credit, you'll see that they use 4D technology which support my second theory
i like your style man
your mind is too high and i like it
@@Dracula737 likely the rig was transferred to a 3d model, which was textured with 3d scan, with added fluff like cloth physics.
