My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ TH-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of TH-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on TH-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

The L he talked about was his album revival. Many people did not like the style or sound of it. It was also political which many people didn’t like. Overall I think it was a great album and is very underrated.

I absolutely hated Revival. I'm a HUGE Eminem fan, but that was the first Em cd I listened all the way through and hated it. Kept listening and it got better, but never good

Eminem is the GOAT. I was born in 87 and have been listening to Em pretty much his whole career. What he did back then, in 99-04ish had such a HUGE impact on everything. Everything.
Go back and listen to his first 3-4 albums (plus Lose Yourself), and you'll see.

As a long-time rap fan, Joyner Lucas (and Kendrick Lamar) are the only "new generation" rappers I give the time of day. Joyner is a genius and should be recognized as such.

Critics rated Revival as a flop even if it was platinum in sales, but not super multiplatinum as older Eminem. And people thought that Eminem went too deep and not to crazy old rapper as before. For me all Eminem's albjms are great and we need them all. Eminem did it all, all kind of rap.

I think Joyner should be recognized one day as one of the greats. He's got so much potential
2018 songs like 'Fall' and this that you have reacted to are from his 2018 Album 'Kamikaze' which was all set to rebel against critics who gave very low ratings to his Platinum-selling 2017 Album, 'Revival', and against Mumble Rap. Kamikaze is considered as one of the best albums of modern-hip-hop as it greatly brought down mumble rap and brought back lyrical.

You must do Busta Rhymes ft Eminem - Calm Down. Busta has a story behind it. Saying he send Em his verse, When Em sent his verse back to Busta, Busta had to do a rewrite because Em was fire on his verse, they went back and forth with verses which caused the song making to last a year because they kept battling each other on verses

I agree with what you’re saying about Artists getting washed on their own tracks when Em does a feature - there are a few exceptions - but not many! Royce always holds his own for sure!
Here are a couple of songs/videos you might like and will probably give you a surprise or two. Pentatonix's [also known as PTX] version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". They are, in my humble opinion, one of the best Acapella groups around. Realize that when they do this there is no messing with sound it is all their voices. The other one that is good is Johnny and Edger Winters version of "Tobacco Road"

Taking an L means taking a loss. Idk why he would say that album was a loss, it debuted at number one, and had so many excellent artist appearances. Some people thought it was too political, but I thought it was just good. My favorite song on revival is Walk on Water. River was great too.

Em is talking about his album Revival. I personally think is was a dope album, but it did get a lot of hate from a lot of people. It was just something different Em that people weren’t expecting so of course they trashed the album on social media and in magazines. The album still sold of 4 million copies. So in another song of Em’s on the Kamikaze album, Em says that he sold over 4 million records even when he puts out a “bad” album. So that’s what he is referring to with that line...

The media started shitting on Revival before the album was even released just from the track list with pop features. He’s super salty about it, because lyrically and content wise you can tell he put a lot into it personally. Check Walk on Water with Beyoncé. Even that song from the album was trashed and people like Budden and Charlemagne said he was washed. The entire Kamikaze album is about him being pissed off at Revival reviews.

I think Royce has an amazing career ahead, if people listen to his words, if people want substance and not clowns drinking cough syrup and doing whatever they are doing because it’s not rap. People have to raise their standards and not allow no talents that have been created by labels to profit on followers. I have to ask how anyone can be a fan of that music and not be honest it’s about beats only. And honestly they are saying nothing they aren’t using their platforms for anything real or helpful to any community. And that was raps purpose is.
