    Some feedback.
    1. Say what MPG you are getting. Telling me you spend $40 a month is useless unless I know how many miles you travel.
    2. Get new pads. This has nothing to do with the car.
    3. This was good. Just rehearse what you are going to say.
    4. Could be worse. lol
    5. I agree.
Nothing to do with the car.
    1. Think about your audience and what they are looking for. Quantify the information you are about to give.
    2. Rehearse or break down the information into sections.
    3. Work on your lexicon.
    Good luck!

The only things you mentioned that would be performance related are the brake system and the fuel economy. While I agree with you on the brake system, I find that it's actually quite good but doesn't compare to slotted & drilled rotors obviously. In regards to the fuel millage, I've done some tests on mine and conclude that with an air intake, either dropin K&N or a cone K&N filter, driving it normally, you'll see 18km/100L where as stock would give you only 8km/100L. Adding Best Line engine lubricant makes it buttery smooth and the MPGs go up too due to higher lubricity in your motor oil. Try kinkering with these things if you like and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Keep us posted on your progress if you try these things.

I just got mine Lexus IS 200t F Sport 2 months ago and I absolutely love it! I went from Camry to Lexus IS so it was quite an upgrade for me. I do wish the same if they had LED interior lights and in 2018 model they added memory seats which is a pretty cool feature but not that important.
I wish if they can also add the automatic side folding mirrors for the 2019 model

Brake pads all you have to do is change to full ceramics (akebono ones) and the interior lighting I changed myself too right away even the turn signals to LEDs took me 1 hour. Gas mileage is better than a V6 lol I have an Infiniti G37S as well and I get 19 to 20 MPGs.

I have a 2016 is200t f sport and was contemplating on upgrading to the 2018 awd version which has the same body style as yours. I agree with the interior lights and the brake dust. Unfortunately for the brakes, a Lexus tech told me they put in the ones in the 350 which is why it gets dirty so I didn’t even think about getting wheels for my car and yes, it stays clean after washing for about half a day. I did look into the audi a4 but after seeing the maintenance costs I didn’t even look again. I know someone who works as a service advisor for Audi and he did say compared to a Lexus, it is way more expensive. Positive note to owning a Lexus though is that it’s basically a Toyota and they can service the car for about half the price it would be if you took it to Lexus.

    • @JhonnyTube
      @JhonnyTube  4 ปีที่แล้ว

I take my car for maintenance to my Toyota dealer, because my closest Lexus dealer is an hour away. Besides they pretty much do the necessary for a way lower price. Yes, German cars are more expensive to maintain and they tend to have more malfunctions than Lexus, almost all my friends that drive BMW, Mercedes or Audi have at least one light on in their dash and I get paranoid even when the TPMS light comes on lol I couldn’t live with any other light on my car and go on with my day like nothing.

5 better reason to not like the IS200t
    1. Delayed throttle response
    2. Too small of a turbo
    2. No LSD
    3. Outdated look in center console
    5. Limited options for price (cheaper Acuras come with more options)
    Bonus
    Tight engine fitment
High driveshaft tunnel in rear floor
Terrible voice commands even for OEM
    Floor park brake
    MAF before turbo
No MAP sensor for OBD2 boost readings
    Limited after market options

If you're going to buy an "F Sport" why would you buy a 200t instead of a 350? Especially as fuel consumption is not much different. Performance etc is far better in a 350. In my country one of the most popular Lexus IS cars is a 300h which is a hybrid powered by a 2.5l petrol motor and electric motor which is what you choose if fuel consumption is an issue. Though the 200t is still an option. Why don't they sell this in North America.
As an owner of a 350 F Sport (8 speed) I agree with the comments about poor rear visibility.better. Also agree that storage is poor. However, glovebox storage being disappointing due to compulsory air bags is not unusual. Agree brake dust on the front wheels is also annoying. But this is a common problem for many cars eg many European cars. As far as the interior lights go? I think you're nitpicking. ....... I find them fine. Some of the Sat Nav and infotainment characteristics deserve a mention. Though many other cars are also a bit ordinary in these areas.
