Congrats! Mexico is the better option in most cases, especially for those looking for minimal maintenance. Plus once you get Permanent Residency, you no longer have to returm to Mexico to maintain. There is always a maintenance requirement with Guatemala. If Central America is a target, Panama by far has the most global non-stop flights from north and south america, as well as Europe and Turkey.

For Mexico you will need to speak relatively fluent Spanish and you will need to do a history test for your Citizenship. There are study material that will help you with the test.
