This beach and surrounding shoreline is a very special place and is a key component of the Kogelberg Biosphere reserve, with an incredible diversity of plant, bird, animal and marine life surrounding it.
You won't hear any unnatural sounds - only the soft, calming hiss of waves as they collapse and wash up the sand and gently lap around the rocks in the foreground.

I filmed this at Moonshine Bay, Cape Hangklip, within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve near Cape Town, South Africa

This video is one of my all time go-to videos for either relaxing or writing to. :) It's really well framed, especially with the gathering of rocks against the backdrop of a huge mountain, and the audio is impeccable. Major kudos to you! Thank you so much for this channel, it's wonderful.
Sometimes I just put this video on and watch it all the way to the end. I've always had a huge love of the sea, one day I hope to live near it. Finding a video like this is perfect for when I miss the smell of the sea air and the feeling of sand underfoot.
Thanks so much Zoe for your very kind feedback! The location where I filmed this is one of the most tranquil beaches in my province and you generally have it all to yourself. There's a great hike up to the top of that mountain in the background from behind it with one of the most beautiful views looking down from the cliff. I hope to make a video from there in the next month or two.
I know how much one can miss the sea when you move inland... I remember feeling heartbroken at times when I had to live inland for a while. I also love mountains though, so as long as I have either I'm ok. If I can have both, then I'm in paradise. :) I'm sure one day you will find your spot by the ocean... for now I'm glad my videos help visualise that place. :) Jon

caramelhoney29 Glad you liked the video! It is a beautiful part of the world. I'm so in love with the mountains and coastline of the Western Cape. You won't regret planning a holiday to South Africa... there's so much to do and see, especially if you love nature!
The mountains of the Cape are covered in fynbos; a very diverse group of plants comprising thousands of species of flowering plants especially in winter. Of course there's a lot more to experience aside from this, but the mountains, fynbos and bird life associated with them are worth the trip alone. Nearly all of the worlds Proteas, Leucadendrons, Leucospermums and Ericas come from the Western Cape mountains. There are also many beautiful flowering bulbs that surprise you when you walk along a familiar trail with bright patches of colour that it looks different each time you walk it.
Other parts of the country also have their attractions but I'm a bit biased as you can tell. :)

I think you should have pointed the camera towards the sun, and we could see the sunset, but still a great video, I wish I was at that beach it looks so beautiful

I was worried about the camera's sensor... some people say it's bad for it to be pointed straight at the sun but not sure how serious it is.
