    My son and I do winter tent camping with Boy Scouts. Last trip our toothpaste was frozen and could not be used so we bought the Bite bits to use on our next trip at several folks recommendations. While I like Bite I don’t think I would replace my regular toothpaste day to day.

    Also, what are your thoughts on Coral toothpaste, and is fluoride important after you are much older and have no cavities?

    • @TeethTalkwithDrLisa
      @TeethTalkwithDrLisa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I’ve never tried Coral toothpaste. Don’t know much about it either.
      Think of fluoride to teeth as sunscreen to skin! As long as you are eating or drinking any acidic foods: coffee, OJ, citrus foods, bread….you want to balance that with fluoride or nano-hydroxyapatite (which both help to strengthen your teeth) Hope that helps!

    What are your thoughts on Nano Hydroxyapatite vs Fluoride? Is one more effective at rebuilding enamel, or at least preserving, enamel? Along with the tablets, I was looking for nano hydroxyapatite mouthwash, but there’s really nothing out there. Any thoughts on why, is it not as effective in that form?

    Your review is 180 from most of the reviews which say that it taste like crap it feels like crap wet toothbrush or not and it doesn’t clean well. Which version exactly did you get? There are different flavors/types. It would help to know which one you are so impressed with . Also, the company now offers one with fluoride

    How is not using fluoride a con?

    • @docwho1912
      @docwho1912 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it is well-documented that fluoride in the toothpaste actually does help protect against dental caries and is an effective method of improving dental health. The addition of sodium fluoride, mono-fluoro-phosphate and/or stannous fluoride in toothpaste is so effective these are approved by the American Dental Association and considered essential ingredients, by the ADA. That is exactly why it is a "con" (or negative).

      @skizmic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@docwho1912 Thanks for the reply.
      That only addresses the positives on how it affects our teeth. Are there studies on how fluoride affects the rest of the body from using it on a daily basis?
      I can understand fluoride application here and there.
      But I'd still be concerned about the daily application and ingestion of fluoride.

    Clean ingredients 🙄🙄🙄 are you sure you are a doctor? There is no such thing as clean ingredients. There is nothing wrong with preservatives among other supposed "dirty" ingredients. These have decades of testing behind them, as a doctor you shouldn't say such nonesense. I am guessing you are sponsored by this company.
