Question - not tried my foil quill yet... There is a heat shield included..which scares me... should I use the heat shield in cameo 4? And if so, when?
Does anyone know why I can't get my Cameo to recognize the foil quill in the cartridge? The frustrating part is there are no recent videos, so some of what's said in the tutorials doesn't match what I have now. :-(

Hey there! It is heat reactive- the foil quill heats up. Check out a set up blog post here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/02/foil-quill-unboxing-set-up-and-best.html
Can you fool on napkins?
The D adapter on the Cameo 4 does not work very well, I ran a ton of tests, it is not at the proper height for best results, it sucks!
Plus there was a delayed media load...didn't realise that was a thing. Must try tomorrow. Awesome.
Have you tried the foil on the new cameo 5? I just ordered mine and also got the cordless foil quill kit
What settings for force/speed to do recommend? Can you do without a cutting mat?

The heat shield is basically useless on the Cameo 4
@@ThierryC2373 thanks...I guess due to the distance away from machine at rest?
Genius hack!

Is this the toner reactive foil you’re using, or heat reactive like for the glimmer machine?
