Spiritual Bali

Beauty, ceremony and rituals are a part of daily life for the Balinese who population is primarily Hindu. However, a bit different from the Hinduism of India, with similar and differing idols.
The Village Temple is the first things to be built for its community and function as the reserved meeting place for many types of community gatherings. They are open for public tourism. However, one can view over most of the low walls and through the ornate gates to glimpse the spaces interior.
Prayers and colorful daily offerings are placed by community members in front of homes, businesses, temples and street corners. Even our rented villa was blessed with daily offerings by some unknown person.
