I love the old houses, they have so much character about them! They were built with loving care for those famalies, it was their home for however long. A property like that could be good for you, if not too far away, as a homestead to grow vegetables and plant fruit trees, and keep some live stock like fowls for eggs and meat! I admire the homesteaders of their yt channels, they are special people doing really very well indeed in their farming activities! ....

My dad always told me to be careful fooling around old lumber piles, log piles, etc. He always said it was a good place to get on a copperhead. So be careful sticking your hand or foot under those old boards or plywood.
Jay startled me. I used to be a locksmith, and from time to time I was called by to many housed that looked like this to try to secure them for the banks that owned the property. I never found any snakes, but I did find dead animals, sometimes I came across some live humans hiding in the bedrooms. One houses floor was completely littered with syringes. These places are always depressing.

Cool abandoned house!!!!!! My favorite snake was the baby speckled king snake. I used to have a California king snake but now I have 3 water snakes, 11 turtles, 11 salamanders, 1 leopard gecko and 1 bearded dragon. (Under Lisa’s account)

I have one of a black snake hunting a bush in my front yard who picked up lots of red coloration from being near my house, which is a redwood color as the base field coat. They do adapt. It's pic is now in the herp department of the U Of IL's archives.

Everything was still there, furniture, magazines, newspaper, all their belongings. I entered a side door and left through the front door. Nailed to the front wall of the house was a Quarantine notice for smallpox dated 1957. Go Boston!

I don't really care for snakes too much but that speckled king snake is a very cool looking snake. I saw a decent size one out on the farm the other day it was probably 2 1/2 to 3 ft long he was balled up in the top of a 100lb LP tank. He did not want to be messed with he made that clear lol. Cole & Jay when I was in the Army I jumped down from a vehicle and got my wedding ring caught in the wood bracing the tarp. Had I been 1 inch shorter would of lost my finger. As it was I had to get my ring cut off. The major cutting it off cried lol. She was upset it was my ring and I was stoked I kept my finger.
I was worried that when you flipped the boards over you would find a venomous snake. I wish you would keep your feet back from the edge of those boards. We have a lot of the Blue Tail Skinks here in North Carolina and the Fence lizards and many more they are all cool...
There’s an abandoned barn a few towns over, my ex girlfriend & I were messing around and flipped a wooden board and there was a big ol copperhead ready to take a snip of her hand.
Was thinking of you two while 🐟 on the French Broad River in Tennessee last weekend. Saw a juvenile water moccasin! Thanks to you two, I new what it was, and kept a wise distance from it. Lol

Do you have hunting limits on them? I was watching a video of snake hunters in PA and they can only take one copperhead per season. Any gender or size. They can only take one male rattlesnake over a certain length there per season.
I really got worried when i saw you finger rap around into the inside of that tire. Please be sure to keep your fingers on the outside of the tire. Moccasins love curling up in old tires. I would hate for you to loose your cute little finger.
Yeah I'd that house is definitely one for the eebbie-jeebies for sure. In my younger years used to help a friend remodel old houses like that. And would find all kinds of cool stuff in them. Still have an original 1937 Arkansas State Title to a 1934 Dodge Sedan. AND YES WE DID FIND A GHOST IN ONE! I mean a REAL GENUINE GHOST.

Yeah, it is silicone! My tungsten one I had damaged the undersides of my reel seats on my fishing rods from rubbing against it.
