    Hey Mike, I just found you the other day and I have gone back to the beginning. I have watched the first 32 videos and will get the rest looked at over the next week or so. I have to tell you that I hope that you see this comment, because you are doing what I have always wanted to do, But never got to! I will be 65 in June and have retired to the BIG ISLAND of Hawaii to be with the love of my life, A Lady that I have known for the past 53 years and we got married last August.
    I love your Videos and hope to hear from you!
    Tom Stewart.

    Love the videos .. where do you get the HDPE pipe with the plugs in them ?

    Love the videos. Did you make the mortar tubes as well?

    • @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
      @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tubes themselves I buy, they are HDPE pipe with wood plugs pressed and stapled in the bottom

    • @toriless
      @toriless 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recognize them from PyroBoom. His are not beat the crap out of like the ones they sent me. I had to sand every one down. The DR9 tubes were pristine like his DR11 tubes are. I am debating adding a screw to each plug for much more secure plug. A screw can handle a lot more force then a tiny staple. I got my firing system direct from China so it cost 1/3 as much as from Pyroboom.

    I am from Oklahoma city. Nice setup! Do you work for Chesapeake? I noticed the Chesapeake truck in your background. How do you like the F150? Is it an ecoboost. I have considered one and am leaning towards the 5.0 for better reliability.

    • @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
      @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes to CHK, Also I have the 5.0 in my truck and love it. I haven't heard anything bad at all about the Ecoboost but just like a V8. It has all the power I would every need and even got 20mpg on trip out west which is pretty good for crew cab truck and 385HP

    • @toriless
      @toriless 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of Reliability the F-150 is much better then the F-250 and their other larger trucks which have a lot of issues.

    Hello Mike, great video, really good quality filming and editing. I'll try to make you laugh now, in the UK we have impossible gun laws, I sold mine years ago because it was too difficult to keep them. You needed Fort Knox to keep them and could only use them when there was a 'z' in the month! Our knife laws are just as senseless, you can only carry a non-locking pocket knife with a blade less than 3"! I'm a retired Cop, 30 years in the Met Police and I now work with children teaching them woodcraft skills. I can't legally carry my tools to the schools I work in. Nuts! Opinal knives, axes and bill hooks all illegal to have in a public place, like my car, going to school?

    • @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
      @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, I didn't realize there was restrictions like that on knives as well. If you ever make your way to the States you let me know. I will take you shooting for the day

      In the US, you need to do something similar with Class B fireworks (which require an ATF license) where you need a cache to store them, for safety. Class C is left up to individuals to act with reason. The fact is that most fireworks problems are from people who do not bother building racks or use firing systems. Such enthusiasts usually take the proper precautions to do so with minimal risks. It the teenager playing with bottle rockets that is most likely to catch something on fire. One thing I alike about 60G mortars is they go high enough to not be a risk of lighting trees, nearby grass/plants and houses on fire. Same for 500G cakes. 200G cakes are riskier so I try get one to test before buying by the case. Happy Clown Bomb was a 100% failure. Huge bursts but only 20-30 feet high. Even though it was over 50 feet away Happy Clown Bomb nearly lit my cherry tree on fire. Any closer and who knows what might have happened.

    I used 16 (two each end) 1 1/4" for the sides and four 3" for the end pieces. When you pre-drill also make an indent to counter sink the head or you will get minor splitting around it. I made mine only a single tube wide like most designs. I can use the same design for a dual roman candle rack. which is set perpendicular to the mortars, just use screws again to space out the tops to make a fan. WA - county land, cities are fascist.
