I just thought it odd when I checked to see how many yrs ago Pastor Dr.Charles Lawson had taught this lesson....... BUT IT DOES NOT MATTER THE DATE! I always check the dates on his preaching/teaching videos because it amazes me the age of many of them, as many of them are exactly what is taking place/happening in the country and world today. I enjoyed (and always do) these studies. One thing I disagree with (backed up by scripture) is anyone who preaches we must tithe today. Tithing was for Israel (study it out). The apostle to the Gentiles tells us in 2Co 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. They took offerings to take to the Jews in Jerusalem (believers) because they had sold all they had (study). I do not tithe, but sometimes I do give MORE than 10 percent. I am not under law but under Grace. If I keep one part of the law, I must keep it all. I pray you do not teach tithing. This very thing turns so many away today. So sad, because it is not a part of Grace.

My church teaches the 10% Tithing... What should I do, I'm Baptist. However, I do live in Knoxville and I am checking out this church *I LOVE PASTOR LAWSON JUST FROM THE NET AND WHAT I LISTEN TO AT WORK* and another one that a friend goes too. I was always under the impression that 10% still stands? .... I hope I am not being led wrong, I've prayed though and I think changes are coming as far as where I need to be with the Lord.
