I heard first of this game in a GenCon preview from Rob's Tabletop World, who is really enthusiastic about this game. What I liked about this video was that Jamie mentioned how they strive to make the conversations sound natural and how they want to focus on the story by going into the depth rather than spread it out too thin. I also like his friendly style and his game collection fits my taste in board games. I canceled my Trudvang Pledge because of no good gameplay videos, uninteresting battle mechanics and too many heroes to play as and so I can back this game.
It was great to hear more about the systems of the game because the page of the game doesn't say much about it. I have been burned by cool-sounding ideas too many times in the past, only to see something that is more-of-the-same when the final product comes out, so until I see how the CYOA elements are implemented and how deep they really are I will keep my excitement under control.
I imagine this is going to do amazingly well as have all their previous games on Kickstarter. If so can we expect to see expansions to other cities etc?
Sounds interesting but a video can’t do a game justice. I watched the Chronicle X video and backed the Kickstarter because it was supposed to be the next big thing. 8 months past due and we find out that scrapped the rules and are doing a redo. Totally wasted a shit ton of cash on MYTH. Do yourselves a favor and go to a con and try the demo game before buying. Of course they could end up like Robotech- great game and concept followed up by extreme mismanagement.
Just hope the core box is around the normal 100$ mark and not something crazy expensive. Seems awesome
Just been announced. It's gonna be $99 for the core box with six 45mm minis for the characters and standees for the monsters.
Damn. Now I want to be the witch. The magic system sounds cool.
Can’t wait to see some gameplay
Looking forward to trying this.
