1000w is all well and good if your controller is set to let you have it. These bikes are all set to be below 750w from the factory so they can sell it as a bike and not a motorcycle. In the PAS SYstem theres usually settings to remove this. If not you can remove the speed control wire.
Sounds like the same issue with my front hub motor. It has 1000w sticker on it in a mag wheel, DD motor, hooked up to a 1500w controller, 48v at about 30a and the no load top speed is about 26mph. Works great in conjunction with the rear motor but not so great by itself.
I just picked up a Hyperbikes Ultra 40 ebike on sale for 398 bucks at Walmart. For my first ebike I'm impressed . It's says 250 watt at 36 volts . I think that's way under rated.

I actually really like the looks of this I do wish that it did perform better or at least as advertised. Amazon claims 1000W 35miles and 37 MPH. going by your tests to me that is a huge difference. If the Hidoes would've performed at somewhat close to the claim I would've gotten it. THANKS

For comparison a grand will get you an upper end electric scooter which has a seat, uses no gas, will do 45 mph, and pull a 200lb rider up a 20° incline hill. The only drawback to going with an electric scooter over this is the shorter range. (15 miles on a charge under max power)
You could offer a free dyno print out of each customers bike with purchase. Signed by you. Or just hang a dyno sheet on every bike with an average readout for that specific model. Say a sampling of 3-5 bikes average on a dyno. Have a customer bike dyno wall with customer or private builder's dyno results.. Their bike by make or person building it, with their specs and dyno result.
That bike is certainly stylish and cool! In my opinion, if it did have a true 1,000 watts, hydraulic brakes and 30 miles of range so you would rarely need to pedal, it would be well worth $2,000.00. ...But that's just me.
Thee ebike manufacturers need to start giving these bikes some decent tires, 95% of these are dam flat magnets. It wasn't till I got a ebike with some decent moto tires I could ride confident without the stress of wondering when my next flat is coming....
UL certification is ONLY for batteries.. anything that uses lithium cells or iron phosphate batteries needs to be UL cert in the USA for it to be a safe battery. if its not its probably Chinese made and has no battery cell protections...

My e-bike does not have shocks in the front or the back I put very little air in the tires so it feels mushy it's a little bit softer ride not too hard not too soft 🔈 just right But it has dual battery one rear motor and it does about 30 mi an hour plus and I spent about 1850 but what I like about it is it has a large basket in the back so I can carry more groceries and I don't have to drive the car and waste gas because where I live it's over $5 a gallon F. It may very well be a 1000w motor on a frame like this. Otherwise it would have abysmal hill climbing ability. More likely there's a speed regulator on it that needs to be disabled somewhere. Every commercial e bike has one.
Actually, for 1000 bucks it’s a hell of a nice deal. If for nothing other than the styling less than two years ago, you would’ve spent twice that much for the same features power and battery.
The problem is that there are way better ways you can spend that grand on a different e bike, with better stats. With a form factor like this it's obviously intended to be a weekend fun bike (not a commuter). Yet the speed is barely enough to be satisfactory as a commuter bike either. I've gotta believe that the speed is either controller limited, or there's a regulator that needs to be disabled somewhere.
I'm pretty sure amazon relies on the manufacturer to put an accurate description of their product on their website. They ask all the time if the description isn't correct, please report it. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
it looks good :) its a fun toy. enjoy it sounds like maybe 500 to 600? watt motor there are a few ebikes under 1k that have hydraulic brakes [1 I see has tektro] wow the favoto ST flurry 2.0 has hydraulics brakes a 75 watt 2 yr warranty - yup I have one ;) not the average cheap [priced] ebike.
Cool looking bike, but the mechanical brakes, weak climbing and awkward pedaling are deal killers. I wouldn’t have picked up on the pedaling problem and the hard seat just by looking at it. For$1199 tax and shipping included, the Hanevear H100 gives you hydraulic brakes, two 750 watt motors and a 16 ah battery. Performance, especially climbing, is impressive.
It makes me sad that there's not a better version of the bike offered. I'd like to see a $2000 model with proper forks and brakes. Also get rid of the goose neck and fit some "ape hanger" type bars, nothing too radical keep the same overall grip height. Lastly, The rear shocks angle need to be modified. I give it a 6 out of 10. Not being a troll but the blackbird is a better value/experience overall imho.

I watched a video yesterday of a guy doing 45 mph on an e scooter with 2x 1000 w motors.
It’s definitely a cool looking bike.
And I prefer mag wheels over spokes for maintenance purposes.
The Design Frame is like from 1970's to early 80's Bicycle which is a beauty to look at

OH boy that motor doesn't sound to good. Very loud for brand new bike. Also seems to have lower torque numbers wonder how well it would do on hills.

My e kickscooter has a 40 mile range and 40 mph but it wasn't under 1,000. It was 1500 a couple years ago. 52 volt 18ah battery. Varla eagle one.

Ergonomics not good ,looks cool but like you say your knees hit the tank/ battery, what good is an ebike that's uncomfortable to pedal.

Shop around. I've seen quite a few e bikes in this style (chopper style) with better specs. I saw one recently on a channel called juiced joyrides.
