5-10-20 challenge: 5-10-20 Weekly Savings Challenge: Save $600
To change it up a bit, yet still keep saving simple, alternate saving $5 one, week, $10 the next, and $20 the third.
52 week challenge:
Using the 52-week money challenge, you should deposit an increasing amount of money each week for one year. Match each week's savings amount with the number of the week in your challenge. In other words, you'll save $1 the first week, $2 the second week, $3 the third week, and so on until you put away $52 in week 52.
Rollover: I use cash envelopes in my wallet,when it’s time to stuff my wallet again on a pay day, any leftover money I had from the previous pay week I take out and put it in my rollover envelope.

A car is a blessing. Learn how to maintain her, learn how to fix her, and she will make your life infinitely better and easier! Always check your oil and brake fluid, make sure you have power steering fluid and coolant. Get your oil changed every 3000 miles, without fail! It's $20 and way cheaper than a new engine! Check your battery regularly. Only put distilled water in your battery and tighten your battery connections every few months. Enjoy the freedom of your new car and stay safe❤

Started July 2020 I saved over 10k, everyone should save dollars especially if you come from nothing, my mind set is to set up for the next generation and breaking the cycle of always starting over for the next generation. Coming from nothing to making good dollars is probably one of the hardest things to deal with, because you got to mentally fight off the poor mindset and not getting into debt with fancy things.
You should worry more about inflation and the fall of america which has been in play since last year, and all your money being on a microchip inserted into your body. Being generationally broke already happened, alot of things ppl are chasing in vain.

I’m 13 and started saving. I’ve saved 165 dollars so far. This has really helped me :)
I’m 15 so I don’t have to worry about bills and stuff like that (I know how I sound 💀) but I want to save 100$ at least for a “Red dead redemption 2 collectors box” 💀
@@TheComicCrusader03it's a good habit to start young. I'm 17 and I turn 18 in 10 months. I have to figure out the ways of adulting uncomfortably because my mom never cared about it enough. This past 6 months have been awful for me and I'm very glad you get to only think about a game you want. But I should let you know it's beneficial to save money at your age.

I became debt free in 2020. All it took was one pandemic, after 10 years of struggling to not spend. I use it now to direct pay all my bills, get that cash back monies, and pay off the balance every month. Congrats on your saving challenge, you're motivating me to open a separate high yield saving account to start letting my money grow.

This is wonderful, the discovery of savings seems to be a lost art. for those who say do this or do that should be careful, I have never been in debt. paid cash for my home. never had a car payment. this was made possible because my parents taught me to save at an early age.
You know debt is a good thing if you’re smart about it.... for instance i invest in the stock market with margins.... and i make money with money i never had in the first place so its a win win for me....

I've become a saver after years of being a spender. I have been able to pay off almost all my debt and saving up for a new car. My son's father is a spender and we have fought about savings for our child. He doesn't get why its important.

I love these types of videos. Being a single mom of two on one income with no support from dad, these videos have helped me get on a budget. I am buying a house this year with savings. But next year I a going to do the 52 week challenge and the $1 challenge
This is really good at showing how far a little discipline will take you. I hope everyone reading this can use these ideas to get debt free. Thats when the game changes.

Nickie Jones $5 challenge is any $5 u get, u set it aside... if ur doing cash envelopes, u can set aside any $5 u get from a change but dont get any $5 if its from ur sinking fund....

How is the challenge going so far?
My goal this year is to pay off my school debt and my car payment. The stimulus check I got went towards my car payment and last year I used my tax return towards my debt. I'm planning on doing this next year 2022 after paying my debt off.

As for now, I saved 1500€ in 2020 and even put 400€ in my savings account. For 2021, I hope to stay on track cause I'm already saving for the moments I want to buy a house in my late 20s and I'm turning 21 next week. I really hope we all reach our goals in the future and for my American people who which for it, to be debt free as soon as possible ! Happy New year guys !

I saved up $1000 even and paid for everything from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New Years . All gifts, food, and travel for our family of 9 out of our grocery, gas, and clothing budget because I learned how to save on those.

I started with a remixed version of Dave Ramsey baby steps and have since been a Reddit lurker and am on my way to F.I. I’m still on my journey and have learned a simplistic lifestyle is best for me. When I spoil myself I go all out! I’m actually getting ready to dye some of my black clothes black; I hate when they are different color blacks. It helps me cut down on always buying new clothes. Totally random but part of the plan. Keep up the great work, sis!

I did the same thing. I’m a single mom with 3 kids that gets zero child support. I was able to save enough this year to pay cash for a piece of property. Thank you God!!!
Next, I’m going to save to be able to pay cash for building materials to build a small house for us. I’ll never have to worry about us being homeless (a common worry of mine is if I ever get cancer, hurt bad, or lose my job).

Because of watching your video last year- I saved all my $5 bills got my adult children’s Christmas (they each received $300 cash! ). Plus I saved all my $1 bills for our yearly trip to my sons out west. This money paid for all our eating out!! You are so encouraging!!

I love this. First video of yours I watched and I’m proud of you. I’m doing a 52 week challenge to save $5,000 but what makes it stand out that it’s not a “week by week” that gradually increases. There’s 52 boxes with amounts ranging from 25-200. Whatever your budget is that week you’ll find the box suitable at that time for your wallet at that time of the year and cross it off. And I’ll do more than one box at a time when I get my hands on extra money due to tax refund, stimulus, mandated overtime, etc.
Ohhhhh I like that I want to do $5000 challenge this year but I would like to be able to pick what a want to put in since it’s a bigger amount. Is there a template you use? Thank for the info 💕

I was doing this when I was working as a waitress at waffle house I would separate all my bills and change had close to a thousand in tip money plus my pay check now that I'm about graduate from college this was helpful for me I still keep my routines as if I was working again
I do a 5k challenge 2 sometimes 3 times a year. When I open the envelope up with 10k I smile so hard my face starts hurting

Some of y'all just be on here talking. Cash is perfectly fine. Investing can be good, but you don't have to always invest money. Cash in the bank gives me that real good sleep knowing I can quit my job and not work for a couple years.

If it's in the bank that's cool. Safer there and you should be able to get 1% or 2% interest to offset a bit of inflation.
Having it lying around in random envelopes around the house or in a wallet seems weird. And as an ordinary human, I'm on expert on whether things are weird.

Congrats girl 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Have you heard of the 100 envelope challenge? I’m doing that one this year! Number 100 envelopes from 1-100 and each day you pull one and put the dollar amount inside of whichever number envelope you pulled! At the end of 100 days you’ll have a little over 5k. If you want 10k in 100 days, double the amount you put in each pulled envelope ☺️ #HappySavingGuys ☺️

I only save paper. Whenever I go to the store and purchase something I'll tell them to keep the change, give it to my little sister or stick it in the donation box. I don't like loose change but i see how it adds up

It’s easier if you weigh 2 or 3 bills for a constant and just throw the stack on a scale if you have one. I always count my bigger bills to be extra sure but the scale method works great if you have roommates

Stopped by because it was in my recommendations. Love what you’re doing. breaking generational curses all 2021. 💪🏾💯 It’s unfortunate that they don’t teach this in school. Especially, stuff like the stock market and stuff that can grow the money someone has saved up. During the begin of the pandemic I learned how to invest and I threw in a thousand or so and fast forward a few months later I’m up $3500. I encourage everyone to invest. don’t let that money just sit. Again, love what you’re doing for yourself and others.

If you dont know what everything in your stack adds up to you can try formatting it like this in a calculator (for example) If you have 9=20's & 6=5's, do (20*9)+(5*6) and press enter and it will give you your total!
