    Thank you! Question: Will the Polar Pro CP filter have better polarization performance than the combo ND/CP filters? If they’re the same, are you able to share the difference between ND8/16/64? I asked them directly and they were unable to answer, oddly! Thank you!

    • @kienobimedia
      @kienobimedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a great question! I'm not sure if it's better or not, but ND/CP filter definitely has the ND effect added without stacking the filter, which is a cool thing to have depending on situations (very bright outside). If you only use CP filter and it is super bright outside you have to stack another ND filter to cover the highlights, which might create vignette (from stacking).
      ND8/16/64 is just the different strength of filter (how many stops of light loss). I find this article is pretty helpful to understand this:

    Hmm, Interesting review.
    From my experience the B+W filters have always given a more consistent result and less of a colour cast. I’ve stopped using PolarPro and much of the money seems to pay for their marketing and hype. I had more post production work correcting colour cast. Maybe they’re better now…
    It’s funny, as a certain group would be happy with Polar Pro, while another would got for a B+W. Happy days to all.

    It's really not all that subjective. The B+W (BTW it actually stands for Biermann and Weber, not Black and White) has a noticeable blue tint while the Polar Pro seems to be more color neutral. In regards to filters vignette and color cast (plus image quality) are everything. You can always correct that in post processing, but then why bother with a filter?
