This is the adult version of what I did in college because I didn’t want to pay $60+ for an ugly “tapestry” for my dorm room so I just got a fabric shower curtain with very small holes at the top and used command strips to hang it up 😂 everyone LOVED it and kept asking where I got my “tapestry”
@hello1943 Back in the mid 1980s, (before command hooks), and when I was totally broke, I got white bed sheets from the thrift store, used dark colors of Rit dye to give them a batiqued/gothic look and hung them and my walls and ceiling by somehow rigging black polyester cord onto the cinder block walls of my small dorm room. 😆
Yeah. It is luxury for me to have the room for such a huge painting. We don't hace any big empty walls. I have an IKEA kallax though. I'm thinking about using it for that and covering every door with it 🤔

I did this with a high quality bedcover with a beautiful tropical flower print, once. The fabric was a really beautiful, almost shimmering cotton mako satin, so it looked high end even from close up. Got many compliments for it!
