"we are trying to lay down principles that
    are timeless as opposed to
just giving you the winning lottery tickets numbers from yesterday" - very insightful

This is what I feel happens a lot with social media. It’s like “get my eBook” about Life - when they’re 10 years old and haven’t had Life experience. Not to disparage their hustle however play the macro long term game - people buy you - thanks Naval. 🤙🏽

I love how transparent he is. A real truth seeker.

    I love these points:
    - Every founder has to lie to its employee, where they have to convince them that it's better for you to work for me, than it is to do what I did, and go work for yourself.
    - The only honest way is to tell your employees you're gonna get to be entrepreneurial in this company. And the day you're ready to go start your own next thing, I'm gonna support you, I'm never gonna get in the way of you starting a company.
    - But this can be a good place for you to learn how to build a good team, build a good culture, find product market fit, perfect your skills and meet some amazing people, while you figure out what it is you're gonna do, because positioning, timing, and deliberation are very important when you want to start your own company.
    - I'm not going to say to them, you're going to be a director today, and a VP tomorrow. I'm not going to sell them that career path, because I don't believe in it myself.

"If you want to be a philosopher king, first become a king and then become a philosopher. Not first become a philosopher and then become a king." whose quote is this? I couldn't catch the name.
