So i stayed up until 9:10 I think. Mabel is one of our beloved chickens. Only three years old She has a green band on one of her legs She has a really low cluck They're all spoiled rotten but she hogs the food and she is really heavy and plump. She is a buff orpington though so some of it is fluff. We dont know what's wrong with her. Shes doing better today but we dont know if shes better or what's going on. I just want her to know how much we love her and I want her to be comfortable and not alone when she passes. We lost one of our other chickens, molly awhile before my birthday and we didn't find out till the last minute before we ran out to catch the bus. My sister hadn't looked under the coop and she was sick and not doing well and just.....died locked out of the coop All alone In February in Idaho so she was frozen in the cold. I got to pick her dead cold body up and had to drop her in the garage floor like she wasn't even a living thing. Like I didn't love her. Like she was a bag or something. I still miss her. Just typing this makes my eyes water again and I don't cry easy. I spent the first class of my day at highschool crying my eyes out. I dont want Mabel to die like molly died It broke my heart knowing she died in the cold in the dark and all alone. Oh sorry I didnt notice how long this comment got. My bad. I just needed to let it out I guess.
