Just came across this video, and it brought back a lot of memories of seeing some of these truck going through Christchurch going to fires etc. I was brought up in Christchurch, but have been living in Melbourne Australia for the last twelve years. the only thing 'missing' from the trucks, would have been a placard stating the years of service. Apart from that, it is a really good video. Les
im in a american fire department...every parade we use the sirens alot! little kids love to hear the sirens (i know i did when i was little)...interesting looking trucks
i imagine keeping the roof ladders at an angle on top of the truck makes it easier to just slide off rather than have it handing off the side of the truck and needing two guys to pull it off
