Nice work! I really like the 'deep dive' into the business side of the business. As a retired metal fabricator who used to work with commercial fishermen, I think a "How To Work With A Metal Fab Shop" video would be helpful. In your case, you wouldn't have to go far to find expertise. Chapters could be Why You Need A Drawing, Why we Don't Have A Blanchard Grinder But We Know A Guy Who Does, Why We're Happy To Make Your Prototypes But No Way Are We Going Into Full Scale Production On This Item - you know, like that. Happy New Year!
The look on his face when he realized he wasn't making 2.7 million dollars a year 😂
So much wrong information. You don’t need any of that high dollar equipment or a 100k loan to get started. I started with 5k and the back of my pick up. Generators you can get for under 1k that will run your equipment. Even 220v 10kw gens even down to 8 or 9kw will do fine for most 220v grinders. You can purchase new grinders for well under 10k brand new. When you ramp up. That’s when you can start spending the money he’s talking about. It’s very unrealistic what this video shows you.
Also polys are not more durable than epoxy. Commercial and industrial applications all spec epoxy. Why? Because it’s stronger. 100% solid epoxies have higher compressive strength and tensile strength.
And, there is no company out there doing 4 garages a day. I do 1 every two days. Even 1 day systems do 1 a day at most and maybe start a 2nd one. It all depends on the size of the job and if it has issues with the floor in repairs and such.
The only truth I heard was you can make 35% and higher which is what I do. I’m normally at almost 50% sometimes more on certain jobs.
Everything you said is True!
Lot of lies in this video
I have a friend in Fl who started 3.5 yrs ago with a 22” used grinder for $2300. He just added a 2nd crew and is staying consistently busy. He used FB groups and cold called realtors with a brochure. This is infomercial material. Great production, not so great info.
I'm looking to get into this business but have no experience. How/where would u recommend getting trained?
4 garages a day with 2 guys 😮😅😂
