MAN you have my respect for that handling.. i see the other drivers hesitating to speed up fearing tyres might spin but you countering the spin really well ..... GRAPE
The Need for Speed, and excellence was worth the risk for those early drivers. In the early days of auto racing, the car would crash, dent a fender or break a wheel, but the driver would be badly injured, or dead. This is the most beautiful racing game I've seen. One mistake, and you're in God's hands. Today, you have race car drivers, but back then, you had heroes. You can, on youtube, watch A.J. Foyte's first Indy 500 victory. If you look at the first 8 rows in the start up, half of those drivers would be dead before the decade was up. Nowadays, we cheer as most drivers walk away from their twisted machines. Good gaming, you have the instinct and reactiin speed of a hard core race car driver. Could you do it, if you knew your first mistake may be your last? Those drivers were the epitome of gladiators.
Thanks for the history links, i'm always happy to watch and learn more about this era, even if i don't make proper historically accurate vids (66s vintage formula on a 50s track is def not). As for if i would or not push that hard in real life, certainly not. Those vids are a great example of what NOT to do in a real race car over a long run, and for a couple of mins that look epic there's usually dozens of terrible tries that ended up in the nearby tree😂. Finishing the race is the ultimate goal, and, playing online, when battles goes for too long, the risk of ending everything abruptly gets insanely stressful. I cannot even imagine what it would feel irl, or how exhausting it would be. "Are you not entertained?" Def modern gladiators.
my man knows this track and car combo so well and has crashed so many times there is no fear of crashing at this point. i've also never seen such a sense of speed in any game before, bravo on those neckfx settings

"no survival instinct" is the virgin way of saying "driving, like you have a pair". These guys just have balls, that's all. I speak from experience. The afterlife is not so bad either, btw. But yeah, totally worth it.
I drove duel engine carts at a track for high speed go carts when I was 13! So this driving figures in with that mentality! But I view this at full screen because it’s so…….1963!
As someone who has crashed an mx5 with no roll cage while doing 135mph, I know what it is like to drive with no sense of self preservation or braincells. I shouldn’t be alive, the car landed upside down when it came to a stop. Aaaaanyway, I can confirm that driving dangerously fast with no safety requires big hairy bölls
Too bad with the bump at 0:36, but otherwise, I found myself grinning throughout the whole video. Sending it flat out through the corner with low or zero visibility is the best feeling.
I'm a bit stuck between going overkill and going flat dull. So far those settings are good for all tracks but with the Fat Alfie tracks the road textures get insane. I kinda like it. Which particular g-forces would you bring down? Lateral, frontal, bumps? I could definitly do a softer neckfx
@@benovichboucharenski The longitudinal is slightly jarring (front/back), and maybe tone down the laterals just a little but other than that it's pretty good. I wouldn't know a whole lot about shader settings though.
@@benovichboucharenski Me personally I love the overkill camera settings. If you were driving this irl theres no way your head wouldn't be getting whipped back and forth like this.
After looking at it a few more times, what I'm bothered by might not even be the intensity of the camera G-force but how AC handles it; there's kind of a 'bumpiness' to it that I think is excessive. If it was smoothed out I think it would be perfect
The track was always considered deadly, even in the 30s. There's no way 60s formula cars would have raced there safely. Still, it is amazingly fun to go thru those narrow corners with no visibility at mortal speeds😅.
I should give the e30 a try before answering, but the sense of speed highly depends on the track scenery and the neckfx settings. I usually set the FOV between 60 and 65
Umm…I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but I think your throttle is having an issue. It didn’t actually go 100% throttle even when you’ve already pushed it all the way. Noticed the tiny red box above your throttle input bar? If your throttle is functioning normally(100% throttle when pedal is pushed all the way down) the tiny box would be green. Might want to check your throttle. Awesome content btw!!💪
