    Replaced my nephews screen and video was excellent. Helped a lot. One issue I had was no sound... easily fixed by bending the metal tabs on the speaker up a little, just in case anyone else had the same issue.

    My wife thanks you for an excellent, easy to follow video that allowed me to fix my 626s for cheap instead of buying a new phone. I on the other hand am not happy with you as now i have to wait to get a new phone. ;-) Video was excellent - thank you.

    easily the best video and explanation I've found to date.
    I'm very comfortable working on all sorts of electronics, but have been a little afraid to attempt working on my 626.
    but after watching your video several times it gave me the kick in the @ss that I needed to finally order the screen/frame assembly and give it a go.
    part was delivered this afternoon and I'll be performing the repair tomorrow afternoon .
    I'll post my progress once I've completed.
    again, thanks for the excellent video.

    Hi there, thanks for the helpful video it helped alot. i have already changed the screen but theres a problem, which is when i plug in the charger to charge the phone the screen goes off and i cant use the phone as long as the charging plug is connected and when i disconnect i have to turn on the phone once again. any tip or idea ?

      @SmartEasyDIYer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Samei Sanei Thanks I'm glad it helped. No I'm really not sure what the issue is I've never heard of something like that before. The only thing that I would recommend is to maybe take it back apart and make sure everything is connected properly especially down by the charging port.

    • @SmartEasyDIYer
      @SmartEasyDIYer  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kima Pac Yes the LCD assembly is the LCD and digitizer combination all put together already. I have a link in the video description where you can find it. I would recommend getting the one with the frame already attached as well because it makes the repair a lot easier.

    Sir, do you know if the HTC Desire 625 and the HTC Desire 626 use the same screen assembly (glass/touch panel/screen)? The glass, touch panel, and screen are all broken on my HTC Desire 625 and I am looking to repair the phone. I have the phone disassembled already, thanks to your video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My HTC Desire 626 got water damaged and random colors stretch through my screen when I try to watch some videos, which nearly blocks my view, and there are black tiny lines going across my screen which makes my phone look like it has 360p resolution. If I replaced the screen, will it get rid of the ruined display?

      +Enforcer Vapes I think they're slightly different if you check the link in the video description you can change the search to reflect the 625 versus the 626 and see what it brings up. I think the process for changing it should be quite similar though.

    Hi :) I dropped my HTC 626 and broke the glass about 9months ago. At first it was but then i spread across the whole screen. 2 days ago i was at home when i looked at the clock on the phone and it was black (but not the whole screen but like 1/2, where it was cracked the most. Can it be fixed with a LCD replacement or is it better to buy a new phone? Ty for your time and sorry for my bad english. :)

    Great video until almost the very end after total disassembly you say to make sure and buy a specific replacement that includes the front housing rather than just the screen itself to prevent using heat gun and a mountain of extra work.
    Wow. Would been nice to know from the BEGINNING.

Screen was recently fixed but turned it on and theirs no sound so I went to try and fix it and now phone screen is black and when you try to turn it on it vibrates. Could I have messed up the vibrator motor? I tried messing with the silver plate on the back of the phone above the battery.

    Screen was recently fixed but went to turn on the phone and the sound doesn't work. So I tried fixing it again and now the screen is black and only vibrates when I try to turn it on. I think I tried messing with the silver plate that's above the battery. Could I have ruined the vibrator motor? Sometimes when I try to mess with it their a bright circle in the middle of the screen with different colored lines going through it but most of the time the screen is black. Is the phone ruined ?

    Hey dude I know this video is old but I really need an answer
    On my phone I have very few cracks but the actual screen is unresponsive, will this fix that?
    Also what parts did you buy and where from because I looked online and there are ones with prices ranging from $7 to $60
    Also does this tutorial cover both those things ?

    Thank you so much for this perfect video! I've spent hours fixing my phone thanks to my clumsiness. I was so sure I wrecked it (and the frame looks pretty battered. ;) ) After getting frustrated by trying to attach the cable of the ear speaker and the antenna I just tried to start the smartphone. It works! :D
    But now I have to relax until tommorow before put the rest together. Again, thank you so much!

    • @michaelhejna7864
      @michaelhejna7864 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Problem found and solved.The side of the cable connected to the logic board got the funny idea to slip out. ;)
      Because I am too clumsy to attach the cable of the ear speaker I can do without it anyways. I used it only once or twice. also, I havn't managed to attach the antenna back again, but that doesn't seem to hinder the connection. Just had to be careful that the antenna didn't get in the way.

      But I just realized that I forgot to take off the protection cover of the inner side of the display. O.O

      Again, thank you so much for this tutorial!! I'll need it again soon. :)

    **NOT FOR UK SPEC PHONES**- tried this myself, video was very helpful for guiding me however UK spec phones do differ slightly when you compare the screens to what you might get off of eBay. I'm sure with correct knowledge it's doable however for me it did not work

    • @rosslloyd2768
      @rosslloyd2768 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, not sure what specification the screen i purchased was whether it be US or Chinese, however the bottom portion has parts that intrude into the original rubber fitting, as well as the single cable required from the backboard has different adhesion to the one shown; makes it harder to re-apply onto new screen. Great video though, very well thought out and informing

    • @SuperKrizma
      @SuperKrizma 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Lloyd did you you get your phone sorted then or what? bcs my frame was also different at the bottom, I managed to fit everything but when I turn it on again it's just black screen. rechecked all wires tried again, not working. I've pit everything back in my old phone and it works . don't know what's the problem?
