I went to Van Cleef and Arpels before the price increase.
I am so obsessed with Alhambra earrings, I feel like I need them in every color.
I am also currently considering adding a 10 motif necklace in white mother of pearl and yellow gold to my jewellery collection. It’s so gorgeous and timeless.
The rings from that collection are amazing too, the in between the fingers Alhambra ring with white mother of pearl is my favourite. Unfortunately they did not have this ring in stock. A lot of items were sold out because of the price increase. Plus I know it won’t be easy getting the right size, it took me a while to get my van Cleef Frivole ring in my size.

Completely agree, all the price increases are very frustrating. I also believe in buying everyday pieces and not occasion pieces, I think Jill Maurer said it best “life is the occasion”. While I love big bold pieces, I rather spend on smaller everyday wearable pieces. It makes more sense for my pocket book 🥰! But it’s so much fun to go in and try on as much as possible 🥰

I love the favorite white gold with all the diamonds in clover design, but this Alhambra crystal necklace with the drop peices and matching ring are great if price point is much lower than favorite, its certainly worth buying great video have a nice weekend ~Abby

I actually started buying more things preloved during lock down. Not so much jewelry with exception of my vintage Piaget, but clothes such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton. I appreciate the fact you encourage careful thought before purchasing any high value luxury item. Alhambra is more appealing to me than Frivole. I bought the 2 motif mother of pearl earrings but returned them. They were too overwhelming. Got the Sweet Alhambra effeuillage earrings instead. The 2 and 3 motif look beautiful on you but I agree, the onyx albeit lovely, too dark. Can’t wait to see what you purchased!

The current climate has absolutely affected the way I shop but I was already starting to get to that point. I have a pretty big selection of bags and a huge selection of shoes and clothing already so I was really starting to look at the way I buy things as there was so much that wasn’t getting used and it’s heartbreaking! As I am getting older I need pieces that will last me and not date quickly. Can’t wait to see what earrings you bought 😊🤍

I can't part with new bags or jewelry either. Luxury quality pieces become a part of me. It would take a lot to part with my VCA! I admit I regret buying my between the finger ring, I never know when to wear it so it hardly ever gets worn. Since I have not done any traveling this year I focus on jewelry more than clothes. The only fall clothes was a Balmain denim jacket. Yes they make it in denim too! Wanted one for years as a casual piece and since I didn't see much of the Fall Collection that I wanted, I could get some wish list pieces instead. And those pieces are only classics so I can have them for many years :) In 2020 I have bought more flat shoes and even sneakers than heels.

I have been waiting for this video for the whole week. Yes, VCA is addicting. After so many years since my first purchase, I still love this brand. It is hard to switch to another brand when their pieces match with your temperament. As for buying habit, I always wear the items and see if I will still wear them for the next 10 years. If it is a yes, I buy them. I take into consideration aging in them as well as the lifestyle that is to come when I reach at older age. By the way, 2 motifs earrings look more versatile than the 3 motifs.
