    I was accused of being racist, because I adopted a black baby daughter (from New Orleans, the year before Katrina - I'm from Canada). When I was down to adopt, and a couple years later to finalize the adoption, I saw absolutely no sign of racism. I interacted with many blacks and whites in New Orleans, with my daughter, and there was no indication that there was an issue.
    If there's nothing I can do about my "white privilege," I think it's time I should celebrate it.

      Most people can define a woman just fine. Especially if you mean biologically. But the gender issue is somewhat different. I don't see it as a biological issue - more of a freedom issue. We may think some of the gender ideas are silly, but so what? People have a right to be silly. I see no reason to get uptight about it.

    Exodus in the Bible is oddly similar to 3000 bc to 1000 bc. Exodus talk about the Egyptian that believes in many gods in the past. Exodus explains how the jews leave Egypt which was much bigger 3000 years ago. And the jews went from Africa to Europe.

    • @Mark-h2s
      @Mark-h2s 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately, there's no evidence demonstrating The Exodus even occurred. Jewish archaeologists have been looking for a long, long time and haven't found any evidence. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence of course, but there would be something if that many people had wandered in the desert for that long.
      'The short answer is “no.” The whole subject of the Exodus is embarrassing to archaeologists. The Exodus is so fundamental to us and our Jewish sources that it is embarrassing that there is no evidence outside of the Bible to support it. So we prefer not to talk about it, and hate to be asked about it.'

      @Mark-h2s Evidence like that is not easy to come by. For example, King David, a famous king that kings from other lands, would write about cause of his conquest. One of the most important kings of Israel was written off as fake by archeologists for a very long time cause there wasn't any evidence. Recently, we have found evidence of David. Now go back further in time to a slaved people who people don't care about, an embarrassing moment by egyptions they'd wanna forget. Of course, it would be hard to find, but there is evidence like the egyption Stele that literally mentions the name Israel and represents them as a traveling tribe and not yet a nation.

    I don't understand this fear of "wokeness" that the religious right has. I assume you imagine it as something unacceptable, but what? It means very different things to different people, so you should be as clear as possible when speaking of it. To me it just means awareness and tolerance, but I also agree that some people who claim to be "woke" are intolerant of those they disagree with. That seems to be a natural human flaw from all sides of the spectrum. But I'm curious whether such vehement reactions to "woke" have a rational or a religious basis.

      Because wokeness is rooted in Marxism. It's a component of it, and is part of what is being used to subvert and control language and what people believe. It has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with logic and rational thinking. Something that woke ideology always dismisses.

As I said, some are intolerant and that is unfortunate, But there are likewise many theocrats on the right who want to control what people can do or say. That seems to be a common flaw among people in general. But since nobody CAN control what you think or say, they really aren't that much of a danger. But I understand that nobody likes being told what they should do. I just don't think it merits the fear and loathing that so many seem to have about "wokeness".
