@@traitorouskin7492it’s an actual quote from Dawn of War where a Baneblade commander is deployed with exactly 11 barrels of only just 1 super heavy tank!
Mordian, I think you should include a wyvern in your list for giving infantry a -1 to hit on all your tanks. It really helps for dealing space marine rockets and can still provide indirect fire.
@@cadi9 I had a game against eldar and my opponent took anti-vehicle wraith guard which has a special ability to shoot back once it’s been shot. So having a wyvern to give a -1 to hit immediately after shooting would’ve been awesome in that situation.
I love nothing more than Mordian's willingness to do silly lists like this and run headlong into tournaments with them. It shows he is both thoughtful in his planning but really wants to have fun rather than win everything ever.
I was just watching another one of your videos and asked myself "I wonder if you can field an army of JUST Tanks... and if so how many do I need to buy?" What a well timed Video! lol
You really need 3 sentinels for the rerolls and some actions. Would even fit the "armoured company" theme as they would be the recon element of the company.
6 sentinel’s even.. for screening and to light up multiple targets. Also without anything to reinforce this list does not take advantage of what is in practical terms.. the faction special rule.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the amazing content you bring out and shines a bright light that can even be seen in the Grim Dark World of Birmingham UK 🤪😂🙏🎉👍
The list itself is interesting and how it will fare in the game, somehow I have the impression that vehicles are treated very badly in 40k, for example there is no running over other units, it would be beautiful to see a tank driving through the enemy horde and left a trail of crushed tyranids under the tank's tracks
The cannon fodder squad could possibly use a bit of support from a trojan or a couple of engineseers could support the rest of the army. D3 repair could undo some damage caused by plasma weapons even if the opponent fails to damage your tanks.
Great video. Good list. I have a hot take on TCs.. I personally think we have all been looking at them wrong. We shouldn't be looking at it as ohh it's 5 points upgrade over a demolisher, you lose the urban combat rule which is what I think makes the demolisher such a good tank. Look at the turret you want to take and compare that variants rule to the TC rule... is that an upgrade or not. I think the Executioner is the only worth while Russ to take as a TC... but that's just like my opinion man... let me know what you think in the replies below
In my fully armored list, I only have one TC for Warlord tax and I agree that standard demolisher is a better choice. Fewer orders isn't great, but the demolisher cannon and its special rule help you blow up huge tarpits and help you not get stuck in melee, one of the biggest weaknesses of an all tanks list.
So with the regular battle tank I don't agree as your trading off the re roll on 1s to hit/full re rolls if they are on an objective. The eradicator is in the same boat as the demolisher, that firing into combat with blast weapons and no minus to hit is too valuable, in my opinion.
Nice armoured company. Tragically I will need to buy 6 turrets/guns for mine. Now that Leman Russ aren't a squadron of 1-3 I need to turn my 9 Leman Russ Punishers into 3 Punishers plus 6 other Leman Russes of what ever types. I can keep the two Punisher Tank Commanders as is and I do have a Exterminator I aquired from a Space Wolves lot. Edit to add that only the exterminator has sponsons (Heavy Bolters) so there's that for me to ponder too.
I run 2 vanquishers. I dont think one is quite reliable enough. Its gun is dvastatong if it goes your way, but before than it needs to get lined up for a shot. Enemy vehicles will probably find it quite easy to avoid, having two makes it so they cant avoid both as easily and youll often have one that can remain stationary to fire t full effect.
Id have probably looked at a hellhound. Little bit of anti infantry that can effectively strip cover. Less durable platform but you should have target saturation with the number of tanks.
Oh come on Mordian. You can fit pretty much 12-13 Leman Russ' and only need to drop one of those to bring a couple of Trojan support vehicles to repair stuff and boost tanks for shooting...
My Tank Company was my main army for quite a while and have won a few games. Even won 2/3 at a local tournament. Lost to chaos knights. The biggest issue was OC3 on the tanks. If you didnt kill everything on the obj, you just couldnt take it from them.... Armigers/Knights gets OC8 Battletanks get OC3.... sucks..
The only way I can see that you could possibly improve the list is if all your vehicles were painted in British desert Cauter scheme. It would be perfection then.
lol I am a guard player and not really a fan of tanks or infantry, I like sentinels, fliers and artillery. I do have to take a little infantry because a little is required to make a command blob or to baby sit leaders.
Great vid.. think dropping the hellhounds feels a bit rough, especially as cyclops can be mission Tanks with the extra pts. Removing cover to boost the ibdirect/stack with withering Hail feels too useful for this list. Ap 2 no cover autocannons sounds quite the drug
I like it, but I built an armoured division and put in Sentinels. They can be respawned and soak a lot of damage. Scouts can take objectives and help with rerolls, and armoured are absolutely brutal to deal with. They can also take out vehicles and monsters. Take a couple over a vanquisher. More mobile and more wounds. Plus respawn.
"Ready to unleash eleven barrels of hell!"
In the first half of the shooting phase.
Is that a quote or are we talking just big guns? 😊
@@traitorouskin7492it’s an actual quote from Dawn of War where a Baneblade commander is deployed with exactly 11 barrels of only just 1 super heavy tank!
Personally I would have made room for a couple of Rogal Dorns, but to each his own.
In an all-armored list, I definitely feel like 2 tanks is better than 1 no matter the stats for OC.
Mordian, I think you should include a wyvern in your list for giving infantry a -1 to hit on all your tanks. It really helps for dealing space marine rockets and can still provide indirect fire.
Interesting take. I love my wyvern but has been sitting on the shelves for a while... might give it a try

Well yeah, the Leman Russ kit is the best kit I’ve ever built from Warhammer. Who wouldn’t want 8 of them?

i think the same thing. executioner, battle tank or eradicator think are better options
I like my plasma tank commander. The battle cannons lack of ap really hurts me in my meta. Terminators make me sad

Also, Sah, I know that the Vanquisher isn't as good, but... pair him up with a lonesome Scout? 😊
You should of taken 2 cyclops demolition vehicles for secondary’s. It keeps in the theme

If only you could put lord solar in a chimera :(
The salamander command tank should be able to issue orders. It's literally a command tank that can't actually command anything
IT IS (not) THE BANEBLADE!
you maby could have squised the forgeworld repair tank in there if it ain't bad this edition to get some more tankines
It isnt for sale no more 😭
@@888ocho I had to duble check mate
AND ITS TRUE 😞
Why no sentinels? They are vehicles arent they
Surprised there's no rogal dorns tbh
No Rogal Dorn, big sad
ironically enough the anti tank in this list is quiet poor...
No. As he said he would have different sponsons. Potentially 8 las cannons and 16 multmeltas as secondary weponds.

I'd love to know why tank commanders can't be in bigger boxes?
Also command squads give you an order as well so PCS plus LS is 4 orders.
