I had a similar disconnect when I heard this song the first time, but it has definitely grown on me quite a bit after adding it to my playlist.
Took me a few listens to get into it as well. Dug a few interesting tidbits form the interwebs/other reactions, anyone who has a better interpretation please feel free to correct me.
The title memeM or "맴 맴" in is a play/twist on the word/phrase "맴돌아" / "maemdora" meaning to swirl/hover/linger - Rough translation coupled with the concept. They do use the full Korean word 맴돌아 in one of the early lines. The expanded concept this time is they are witches who will get inside your head (Brain: Memory Storage) through their music and you will be unable to get them out as they swirl/linger (맴 맴) in your head.
Even if you didn't vibe this track, you should listen the rest of them! b-sides (especially Pretty Psycho, which is probably your taste) are AMAZING.
Purple Kiss discography is truly a masterpiece.
I would recommend watching their story films (they're so cool) on your own time to understand better the concept.

Hi-key needed to listen to this one a handful of times myself.... but now, it's a bop. Almost need to be in a particular mood for it. But, overall it's surprisingly cohesive for a popmix song, and better than just about every other group has done. The story m/v's are a MUST watch for understanding this m/v! It's actually a very, very clever tie in. I just watched a review on this m/v on the channel "starland." and they have a fantastic deep-dive into the imagery of the m/v (one of the ladies was a literature major).
More importantly than liking the title track of the album.... is the b-sides. Oh my. Pretty Psycho should have been on the show "Killing Eve"! It's amazing. My other album favourite is Cursor, which is exactly what I look for in a a power-balled type song.
