I LOVE the soundtrack of Message in a Haunted Mansion! ❤ It's always been one of the major reasons for my love for this game, even though many of the tracks sound appropriately haunting!!! 😨😰😱 My favorite track is "Seance", and even though it's virtually the same melody as "Saloon", I like "Seance" a lot better because it has a more haunting, sinister, aura to its melody. "Attic" and "Dining" are like that with their melodies, too, and that's why I also like them. "Abby's Room" doesn't sound as dark as the others, but despite its lighter melody, it still sounds a bit sinister...and mysterious. 😉 And then "Parlor" and "Entry" are less haunting than the others, but I still find them somewhat haunting because they are more fast-paced with their melodies. Yeah, the soundtrack was always one of the reasons why I considered MHM to be one of the scariest games the series. Music is definitely one of those features that can enhance the scares of media like film, TV, and games. 👍🏻
@@NancyDrewWalkthroughs THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS GAME IS CHILLING IT REALLY SOUNDS EVIL IT HAS AN OMINOUS FEELING TO IT IT FITS PERFECTLY FOR A HAUNTED VICTORIAN MANSION THE GHOST SCARES ARE REALLY GOOD AS WELL!
Can we talk about how genuinely creepy and understated some of these tracks are?
That Baby Doll Head in The Attic was Absolutely Terrifying to see
This soundtrack is nostalgic for me (like they all are), but in a weird, different sort of way. I love it.
I'll never forget how terrified I was when the swan part of the table moved.. spooked me so bad as a kid hahaha
Attic track still is insane. Scared me so much playing in that part of the game as a kid.
This Game was Absolutely Terrifying to play as A Kid
I was pretty scared of it too. Just the random ghostly sounds petrified me.
@@alucard73 Me too of course it's alot Scarier as A Kid since They usually have A lot more of An Imagination than Adults

Yeah, I didn't finish it until like... two years ago. I played it for like ten years before I finished it.
@@active_whipp For being made very low Budget Her Interactive did An Incredible job with The Ghosts and The Music to make A TERRIFYING Atmosphere
The Soundtrack just sounds so Evil with The Atmosphere in this Game doesn't it?
Abby's room theme is gorgeous!
Yes, it is.
@@active_whipp Just like Abby Herself sorry but I couldn't Help from getting kind of A major Crush on Her Character
@@active_whipp The Hallway Theme gives off such A thick Atmosphere of Evil like all of The Ghosts have caused Time to stand still
Replaying this game for the second time. It has been so many years! And it feels right to listen to the ambience while doing chores and schoolwork.
7:26 *That's it.* There's the HD version of the song I was hunting for a long time. Thanks so much for the upload!
No problem! Glad you found the song!
came here literally for the same reason, to say the same thing!!! That song is incredibly memorable... it's in the hallways right?
Yep, when wandering around the mansion. Glad to see people still remembering the games.
@@ShadyRonin The Hallway Theme Really has An Ominous Evil Feeling to it
@@NancyDrewWalkthroughs Let's go down to The Creepy Basement Hi CHARLIE oops I mean Ned
Listening to this on repeat while I build in the sims
The "Attic" one at 5:27 sounds like something straight out of Resident Evil 2. It sounds like it should be part II to the "Secure Place" sequence.
This is my favorite soundtrack of all of the Nancy Drew Games, especially Abby (0:00), Saloon/Seance (3:35), Entry (7:26), Parlor (8:52).
thanks for making this!
This game was my childhood we would rent it from our public library now we own it I love this music
SAME! Luckily the game didn't require the CD to work after.

Я помню как на заднем плане играла эта музыка (хотя она и сейчас играет).
hey, do you mind if I use your video of the MHM soundtrack for a review of the game? I'll credit your channel and the artists :)
Yes! That is totally fine, thank you for asking! I’d love to see the video when it’s done.
