I can attest to your statement. I'm 6 1/2 months clean from drugs and alcohol, but my gambling addiction still lingers. I'm combatting it with the 12 steps and rigorous honesty. It's really helped my mental well being, even after a slip. 1 day at a time, buddy. You're not alone.
This really great problem for all The World, which has been known since ancient times, which Dostoevsky described in an excellent way, and which in modern times has acquired huge and insane proportions due to key positions in the globalism of financial corporations, which are created only for the profit of individual tycoons (you yourself know which nation they are mainly representatives of). As long as these human-haters continue to directly and openly control sports and, accordingly, the minds of people, such a misfortune will continue. P.S. Despite turning off gambling ads in my google account, youtube (owned by google) is consistently bombarding me with gambling ads. Literally 95% of ads are gambling. Google has zero morals regarding this subject at least. Zero!

COMPED - AUDIOBOOK The original version of “COMPED” was published in 2001, it is based on a true story. The storyline ends in 1986 when the main character, Richie Venture, (AKA) “The Goy,” “Richie V,” “Richie the Taylor,” and “The Comeback Kid,” who in the early 80’s was a loving family man, successful aggressive entrepreneur in Philadelphia, and who like many others back then was a first-time casino gambler in Atlantic City. He bites the casino apple and lives it up with those so-called casino freebies, “COMPS,” along with other casino perks that only "HIGH ROLLERS” are offered. Once the inevitable happens and his hard-earned fortune is gone, he doubles down with the casinos' interest-free credit while using and losing mob money that he's laundering in the casinos. After dodging a bullet from the mob, incarceration by the Fed’s, exhausting all means legal/illegal to feed his casino obsession, along with his livelihood and loved ones gone, he attempts to make his last “BUY-IN.” This audiobook of the new version of “COMPED” ends in 2015. It includes those High-Roller years from the first version, only this one tells the story of how not by his own doing Richie becomes a “Gaming Atavist,” who gets state lawmakers to put forth legislation/bills that would stop the casino operators from breeding their patrons into what he once was. It also tells how and why both political parties crushed his safeguards that he got put forth in order for them to fill their state gaming tax coffers. It's a casino gambling story unlike any others and one that needs to be told in order to enlighten those of the price you'll pay if you get in bed with casinos. It also answers the question many have pondered, which is, how did we end up with casinos in all our backyards and a casino operator becoming our 45th president.
