Perfect, I hv been crocheting for 50 yrs and still learning.
Yolanda Soto hv the perfect way to explain she doesn't
miss anything, from stitchies, sizes, color, etc Speak calm and very articulated. Thanks,
    sure I like it.

I used a K-hook (6.5 mm Clover hook) and used Yarn Bee Soft & Sleep low-pill fiber yarn (232 yards).
I crocheted until I ran out of yarn, finishing the final round with single crochet.
The hat is fabulous! So springy... so squishy... and the ribbing is so stretchy with great recovery.
My guy will LOVE IT! ♥♥♥ He said nobody's ever made anything for him... and he's almost 60!

God bless you Yolanda. I just learned how to do fpdc and bpdc last evening and now I can make this hat for all the males in my family. My 95 year old father, living in Germany, wanted me to knit a hat for him, but because of a bad left arm I am not able to knit but crocheting is great physical therapy. I can not wait to finish the first one of those hats.

This is my FAVORITE ribbed hat pattern! Thank you so much for sharing. I've made MANY as gifts using anywhere from a 5.0 mm - 6.0 mm hook with a medium (4) yarn. I've made this for both guys and gals and it's just the perfect all around hat. Thank you again and God bless!

I just want to give thanks to you I know how to crochet but I am not confident at reading patterns yet and your step by step instructions are easy and I also want you to know that several of these hats are blessing children at school for the hat and glove tree it is for children that don't have none when they come to school to where so they give them these items that where donated I also have crochet some for my family and some of my church family God Bless You and Thank you so very much

Never mind Yolanda, I the yarn I was using is to large to do three double crochets into each stitch. So I narrowed it down to two and now its slowly forming . Unfortunately, I had to take apart the work I already do and start over. But it was worth it. I'm not saying this is negative towards your video. You're the only crafts channel I personally watch on TH-cam. You are very clear and explicit in your videos, tons of beginners can understand. God bless

Cool! i have crocheted so many ribbed hats that are painstakingly hard! because you have to only crochet in the Back Loop. This looks to much easier and gets good results! YAY! Thank you!

I made this hat and I love it! very warm and plush! however, I made one adjustment the second time through and did not chain up three but went strait into the double crochet around the post. This made it a little more seamless and you can't tell wear the it was joined on the final product. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your videos. I am dyslexic, and videos like this have made crocheting easier for me. You are an excellent teacher and easy to follow!

I am so thrilled I found this video again because I made this hat for myself, & my hubby likes it so much (I get a ton of compliments on it) that I am making one for him. I can NOT knit so I am thrilled to learn great crochet patterns! thank you Yolanda, You got the crochet party going on!!!!! P.S. To anyone reading this and learning, I had to rip out the stitches for the first 3- 6 rows like FIVE times before I got my count right! It was worth it.

Brilliant. I had about three false starts before I got it all right. It's finally taking shape. I can't wait to see the finished product. Hoping it won't be too big. I'm using quite chunky wool on a 5.5 mm hook. Ah, well, I can always redo it a fourth time. I learn best by doing. In the meantime, thank you so much for sharing this awesomely detailed tutorial. I'm pretty much a beginner having only done a bit of basic crocheting in school.

Thank you for the excellent instructions. I have crocheted off and on for 30 years yet I have never made a hat. I started my hat on a Friday night and only crocheting here and there watching TV I finished my Hat in just a few nights. Was easy but the cool thing is, it looked as if I had been doing hats for years. I used a Cashmere mix Sea Hawk Ombre and did a Grey trim and it was a great gift. I bet you teach a killer instruction on Boot cuffs in crochet to look like knitting as well? Thank you so very much!!!!!
