  • In the League of Legends: Origins documentary, renowned filmmaker Leslie Iwerks offers a peek behind the scenes during the early days of League of Legends, from 2006 - 2017. Told by the fans who lived it, the players that popularized it, and the passionate but inexperienced developers who made it, Iwerks captures the highs and lows of turning League into a global phenomenon.

I dont believe they ever forgot. Maybe we're just too fixated on LoL itself. They've been expanding alot and creating new games for different genres, while showing no signs of stopping. To top it all off, most if not all of their new games are top tier and none of them are "bad". Thats extremely impressive imo. Hence the reason they are outsourcing and engaging in co-dependacies and partners to help drive their massively expanding--yet successful company.

League is really popular in Turkey because back then there was no game that had turkish language support both text and voice. Hearing characters talk turkish made everyone go WILD. It was unheard of and it still is. Other than Riot's games there are almost no games that have Turkish Voice Overs so Riots games are always special here. One other example is uncharted. When the whole series got ported to PS4 PS Turkey dubbed the entire series in Turkish and yeah everyone was both shocked and excited.

When Covid hit the world and we went on lockdown I started league of legends which to me was really ugly from an outsiders perspective. But it was an online game I could play with a friend across a long distance. I was really happy to be with 9 strangers In a game. But what kept me into the game was the lore and stories behind every champion. I think some of the writers are amazing then it was music and finally Esports. I was addicted.
Sadly the game was so toxic that friend I had for my whole life ended. Too competitive for different elo players and him making new friends kinda threw me away.
Somehow I still want to keep playing this game because I love it now. The game won't die anytime soon. I hope Riot doesn't let it die either. Give us 10 more years at least.

The part about 25 dollars in riot points was hilarious! This was really cool to see how league has changed throughout the years.
But please riot, as cool as the competitive scene can get, don't forget the other half of the player base. Please bring back the old maps like the crystal scar, the twisted treeline, the magma 1 v 1 map that was in the works, classic login screens, the cool in game events like ascension, odyssey, black market brawlers, etc.
Even story in game events like thrill of the hunt with khazix vs rengar. They were little things that added up to something amazing as well! Glhf with your matches summoners!
The music used at the end is from - dragon trainer tristana - login screen
The visual with all the champs looking up is from: Season start 2018 - anticipation - login screen

Y'all know what The Saddest part of League of Legends?
The saddest part that is probably LoL will over one day. That's our nightmare.
And NBA, NHL or MLB will not. Or football will never die.
    I hope i am wrong.

Please consider working with Eternal Eclipse in the future!! I feel like their energy and compositions are so incredibly in tune with a lot of Riot's best cinematic work!! Their song Revolution, for example, is incredible and definitely the kind of thing you'd see in an epic trailer :)

I do enjoy playing League, it's a fun game and I bonded with some of my best friends playing it. I'm more looking forward to what other games being made with the IP are doing these days, but I'm glad League is still around.

When I saw docmentary of League of Legends, I learn that it is hard to promote the game but they never give up of there game. That's why I'm taking course of BS in Computer Science Major in Application Developement. It is not only the game that inspires me as a Player in 10 years of history of my league of legends since 2013 up to now but I inspire of they create this game for us. Thank you Riot Games to be part of my journey until now.
