Hi Chris, i agree it does look a very interesting and its amazing how it seems to pop off the page at you. it also reminds me of the wrapper of a Continental Chocolate bar we used to get here in the UK many years ago called Lila Pause and a packet of sweets called Palma Violets. I can taste the Palma Violets just looking at the colour. Chris to me the Pensee seems to be in a colour class of it's own such an amazing colour indeed. Hi Wayne -- that's interesting Wayne that we both see this one as unique! Of course even with all the samples I have there are hundreds ... thousands I suppose .... more out there. But this one is quite unusual and I seem to go for unusual ink shades!!!!! So cool that the color reminds you of the chocolate bars!!!! Some of the Cadbury candy here in the states comes in purple wrapping! :)
Chris, you are quite right about the purple Cadbury wrapper but the funny thing is it is called Cadbury Blue why i don't because it does look more purple than blue?

Hi Annie -- that's such great news. I was so hoping to get another one in my first choice color but it's sold out in that color. I'll keep watching out. Not like I NEED one either but there have been times when I wanted to have the same color in 2 different nib sizes going for a review and the pen is so superior for ink sample testing!!! :)
So glad you chose to feature this ink. At first glance I thought it was pretty but a bit too light for writing. I was fooled again, it’s lovely for writing, it would be lovely for journaling in the spring time when everything stats blooming. Whatever inks (or pens / supplies) you want to show us is alright by me I’m interested in it all💜💙💚🧡❤️
Hi grannaboo03 -- it fooled me too -- it looks lovely and soothing in my journal!!! Some inks all but disappear onto the page but this one although muted retains a very nice color!

One of my inks that I've had for some time. I like because it is different from some other purples I've tried. Thanks for the review. I think doing the Ink Flight next is good.

Congratulations on the subscriber milestone! It's well deserved! You put a lot of time and thought into the videos and they're really helpful and enjoyable! As one of the other commenters said, this ink also reminds me of Iroshizuku Murasaki shikibu, at least in color. I haven't tried this J. Herbin ink, so I can't say much more than that. It was interesting to see your take on it, though, and how different it was from most of your other samples. I'm looking forward to seeing the profiles for each of the ink flight inks for this month. It looks like a really nice spread of colors!

Wow, I am surprised to see your Diamine Amazing Amethyst. Yours is so pretty! I have a bottle of this ink but mine does not look like this at all. Mine is much lighter in color. Similar to J. Herbin violet Pensee but with more leaning red in the color. I wonder if you got a wrong sample of amazing amethyst or if my bottle got a false label.
Hi Blue -- I was wondering about mine -- it may look different on the other ink indexes I did. I'm going to look into that. I know my brush was super clean so it's odd. Even I thought mine looked different on the paper I was using.

This is one of my favorite purples. Very close to Iroshizuku Murasaki shikibu, and both are lovely!
