I have "rolls" on my thumb (horizontal) from anemia and have had them since I was a kid. My nails are also fairly thin and slightly vertically ridged, but only my thumb has these dips and hills on them. When I started using polygel a few years ago, I noticed these grew out straight and I was astonished. I'm not sure why this happens other than the rigidity of the polygel, but I like the effect. When I soak off the polygel, I'm amazed at how normal they look. I haven't had polygel off for more than a few weeks at a time, so I wonder if they would grow back with the rolls if I stopped wearing it altogether? Probably - my doctor said there was no way to fix them and I should just live with them!

I have these bumps on my right thumb after it got stuck in a fire exit 10 years ago 😬 It comes and goes, but it seems like the nail never forgets!

I had badly deformed thumb nails, especially my right one. I have a life long cuticle picking issue and realized it was so bad my nail was damaged. The only solution I found to break the habit was lots and lots of band aids to break the habit. I just got my first set of nails done to really stop me from being able to do it.

I have the thumb picking habit. I definitely find having extensions help me not to. My cuticles are wonky due to this and cause me nightmares when trying to get a straight free edge. Any tips on working with wonky cuticles? These nails look rather white, is this a different product or just how the models nail beds look?
Thanks for another amazing video! 😘 xoxo

I had perfectly beautiful long healthy nails. However as a result of going to nail salons and getting the no chip manicure nail service my nails have humps as a result of using the nail drill fast and deep to remove the no chip polish. This is because the nail techs are more focused on getting you out quickly as possible to accommodate in coming customers. I'm currently starting to do my nails myself as I did in the past.

Wouldn’t paper forms have been easier than dual forms to fix that thumb? New nail tech so genuinely curious.
