آخر میں جس طرز پر درود شریف عاطف نے پڑھا ہے یہ ہم اپنے لڑکپن میں پی ٹی وی پے سُن چکے ہیں. ضیاء الحق کا دور تھا 1980 سے 1988. کیا وقت تھا وہ بھی. یہ حمد جناب مظفر وارثی کی لکھی ہوئی ہے. اور اسے سب سے پہلے پڑھا بھی انہوں نے تھا. پھر نصرت فتح علی خان صاحب اور اب عاطف اسلم نے اسے بہترین انداز میں پڑھا. مجھے لگا کہ شاید نئی نسل کو اس بارے میں زیادہ علم نہ ہو. مظفر وارثی صاحب پہلے پاکستانی فلموں کے گانے لکھا کرتے تھے. پھر اللہ نے انکے دل کو بدل دیا اور باقی زندگی صرف نعت اور حمد لکھی اور پڑھی. اللہ انہیں غریق رحمت کرے. آمین
ان کی نعت "میرا پیمبر عظیم تر ہے" اور "تو کجا من کجا" کون بھول سکتا ہے
اور آپ نے میرے لب کی بات چھین لی۔ میں اپنے بچپن میں پہنچ گیا
