Oh, those Volca Keys stabs. That little guy really does have a special character. Does those brassy swells so so well. I've noticed you have a signature sound which is really quite cool. A lot of people do this for years and years and never develop their own style but I can spot a Burg track from 50,000 feet. The arps, the stabs, clicky percussive stuff running around in the background. Not sure if it was the A4 or what but really dug the glitchy, almost 8bit percussive things that came in.
Yeah, i truly love the keys.. and it really blooms with some simple delay/reverb. (zoom ms-70 CDR) Wow, thats a really cool observation.. have not at all thought about a signature sound but when you say it there are some elements in there that are BURG'ish :D hehe. I really like your sound, you have your own style. I own a home studio as well and try to do some sound but I don't have a quarter of your gears... Maybe you won't answer and I will respect but how do you get all this stuff ? Are you sponsored or something ? you always have the last hardware released... and it must cost a lot.
Good to see that Rings put to good use! I can see clearly how it had prio over the clouds, it indeed fits your style really well. The way you use all these machines to just add little textures and create a nice flowing atmosphere is pretty slick, and the braids+rings combo fits in perfectly. I'm generally like the downtempo stuff more, but it has that Burg feel to it man, keep doin what you do best!
Yeah, the rings for me had a special place in my sound which I cannot really produce with any other of my gear.. so exciting times to get it racked up! So how has the system been treating you? You really seem to be enjoying it... :) Any problems yet? Also a small warning: Euro systems are capable of putting out greater than 25 - 30Vpp in some instances... Just keep that in mind sending it to pedals and such. It's a HOT signal. Awesome as always!
System has been working really fine, no problems whatsoever :) On the outputs, i have the 1U intellijel audio i/o so that normalizes everything with my external gear, both for outputs and also for patching in external stuff back in, the first module i bought actually :D thanks man !!
the beatstep pro has 2 tracks for synths, and one track for drums. They all have both CV and/or midi capabilities.. but its just the three tracks, independent of if you use midi or CV.
