You can airlift a baby whale back to his pod but you can't drop some fish in the water for him to survive long enough for you to do it???

They could try towing the mother’s body at high tide. The calf is still imprinted and should follow. If they are lucky, the pod will hear the calf’s vocalizing and its distress once they are out in open waters….hopefully the pod could come and the people could watch to see if it gets reunited with the pod. Can the sandbar be hand dredged a bit so that the calf can cross during hi tide or even drag the mom 's carcass across so the calf will follow ?
She called the whale an "animal" - correct, but IMO it doesn't capture the magnificence of these whales. We need more nature in our world - sad day.
Quite a few indigenous tribes do not place the value of one species over another, as all are needed equally to maintain a balanced nature

And a walnut brain leaves unnecessarily rude comments on the internet so they can feel better about their own sorry life.
Breaks my heart that processed foods made the people attempting to rescue the orca too feeble to assist the poor whale.
