Oh my God, "the excruciating pain of working in a warehouse + vision of one day being a PM" seems so much like my story as well. Thanks for sharing your story, it gave me a sense of confidence and motivation that my journey and sacrifices can be rewarding as well. I hope a few months down the line, I can post a similar video as well :)
damn... similar story here too man. overnight shifts at a warehouse to IB internship. my guy blazing the pathway for less traditional "high finance" professionals
Thank you for the video. Can you make the video about what is the different between the expectation of working at the hedge fund with what the actuvity you are doing in the office?
Hi Aron ! Loved your content 👐🏻, by the way can you please share where did u started looking for such small hedge firms ( like website and all ) that would be a great help.
Yea I wish I worked harder too. I worked full-time throughout college and didn't do any internships. I have money from working so much but I graduated two months ago and feel stuck without the proper experience on the resume. I almost feel like it makes me look bad not having any internships as a graduate. I also don't have a 4.0 GPA and didn't go to an elite school.. I regret not networking as much but am determined to spin it positive. I worked hard but not smart... I always felt like I was ahead of classmates, but the key is to work smart and hard. I'm applying to internships now. I wish I did Junior year though... Its not always about maximizing cash when the experience pays dividends. If your in college, look for internships early because it takes time to start once you even get the role.
I’m in a very similar position but I graduate in a year and go to a target school in the UK. I feel awful not having done an internship. And from what I’ve heard, not many firms offer internships to graduates/soon to be graduates. How have things gone for you and do you have any advice?
Appreciate the support man! I watched your vids early on in my career and they were incredibly helpful so thank you for all the work that you’ve done and are continuing to do!
I’m kinda in the same spot I worked in a warehouse for 4 years an some jobs on the sides too bro. I’m trying to pivot to something more rewarding financially & focus on building my stability an foundation
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.2m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first break through with a liquid 370k. Handed it to a trader here in TX, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.
Aaron, do you have any advice for working professionals looking to make a career change in finance? What career paths would you recommend for those who are currently in a non-finance field?
Ao aron the financial institution teach you like how to analyze and do everything in this finance field i am also a student and doing bba in finance in Pakistan
I am a finance & economics major and have been looking for internships that are remote where i can gain some experience in finance but I have no idea where to look because everywhere i look and including at my university, there are not many opportunities for people who have no graduated yet. Most internships are for graduates or final year students which i am neither. If anyone has any information that could help me please let me know. 😀🙏
wow visiting Slovakia that was a suprise haha, I am from Slovakia currently woking in backoffice as securities settlement analyst. I would like to move to frontoffice or be data analyst in finance. At the same time I have seconds though if I have what it takes to make it.
Any advice for someone graduating with no internship? I’m really starting to regret working 2-3 part time jobs just to keep myself at university but I guess that’s was the priority at the time. Now it feels like my high finance career has ended before it begun
how did you go from a summer risk internship at JPM to a sales and trading analyst as a grad just like that? Isn't the return offer specifically for your department??
oh I see it was a rotational graduate programme.. I'm about to enter one of those at Barclays. Really Excited! Never heard anything about headhunters though, hope I get that attention xD
Don't have much information besides my own university experience - but I will say risk management coursework is often the most difficult since it deals with financial derivatives.
The program was provided by my college, UCONN, and they partnered with a company called EUSA. Not really sure how applications work outside of a college setting.
Interesting take - I feel the opposite but there certainly are arguments for both. The finance industry does have many benefits to society, a lot of which are intangible, but nevertheless, keep the world going. As for myself, I believe we should all find the role in society that maximizes our full potential. Certainly an interesting discussion to be had though.
Hey Aaron get video man! The perspective you bring definitely helps a lot for me! I’m kinda in a similar situation as you when you were starting and hoping to into the world in finance one day! I am impressed with your update on these stocks, now my question is which is best to buy at this time. I have some liquid assets to diversify.

Thank you, I already added VOO and QQQM, can you share this Pro with me.

You'll always have doubt but success is inevitable if you keep going at it! Also, Slovakia was a beautiful country, and Kosice was a lovely city.
Really nice and inspiring video !! You mentioned that you self studied finance, how did you do it? Did you follow a certain course or through books?
nice video! would be cool to get more insight on your weekly routine as a hedge fund analyst
Stay tuned for future videos!

Do you have any idea about pace university's financial risk management program.
