just a tip, if you stick your candies and/or chocolate in the fridge beforehand it will cool down the melted chocolate faster so the assembly/ decoration process won't take as long.

I never understood why Gingerbread House windows were opaque. So when I started making my own GB houses I'd cut away the window pane and fill the void with clear sugar candies. The results were see through "glass" windows. One thing led to another and soon I was creating the interior of the house as well. My last house before the tremors started, included a stained glass window in the main house and a greenhouse out back. I got carried away! lol I think it would be possible to do the same with the chocolate houses. Surely there is a gelatin or edible film or something that could fill in the panes of glass?
