Nice video brother, you should pump out some more guides I’ve noticed a lot of players lately coming back from their childhood and a lot has changed. Best of luck!
Thanks! I’ve got some more guides lined up (spellements and gambits) and ready to film already. What kinds of topics would you like to see besides those?
@@hjjofficial Farming locations for different level brackets I think might be a good idea along with explaining how school pips work with the +1 crystal at low levels would be great!
As someone who has been into Wiz since the early days but has missed a lot of the newer updates, this was a very concise and helpful guide! I have a question though, does this not mess up the balance of the game a bit? It's very nice seeming, but it feels like this gives a TON more power to the average wizard to pick and choose spells for any situation (blurring the lines between schools). But I suppose it makes it so that where you spend your training points is more relevant now, especially if using this in early game where there's not as much to go around for training points, so maybe that's the trade-off?
It does give more opportunities to players, but things are done right with them! You need school pips of your own school if you want to use lore spells. And since you can generate other school pips it does open you up to more spells available, but its honestly quite balanced. At the lower levels, you don't get a school pip every round (since your rating would be low for both school pip and power pip), so you won't be getting THAT many. And at higher levels, you will get them pretty much every round. The balancing act is that your stats for the off school won't be anywhere near your primary school. So if I used any death spells they would do close to the damage of the card versus me using my standard myth spells that do 3x the damage that the card says. This is where secondary school gear comes in (such as the Malistaire level 50 gear, Morganthe level 100 gear, Aeon gear, and Raid gear) where they give stats for your schools AND another school, but that second school is usually limited to a single school (the canon secondary schools). Since myth's secondary school is ice, I have a very high ice damage stat (around 160 I think) due to my gear focusing on giving me myth and ice stats, but every other school is low so there is almost no use in using those spells. So in that sense, it stays balanced since either you don't generate school pips enough at lower levels, or you don't have the stats to support a reason to use other schools in the later levels (besides the Novus spells).
I have a question. Right now, I am a level 62 Death Wizard, but my archmastery isn't showing up in my stats list. I read that the archmastery evolves when you get to level 50. Why can't I see the stats or get the school pips?
Sadly duel school is consider dog poo and your expect to pure primary school until current max level of 160, even than you are restricted to certain schools, depending on wand and pins.
I have a question. Does this not make Mastery Amulets useless now? Generally speaking, if you can switch your pips and get power pips in the school you want, wouldn’t you not want to have a Master Amulet for that school? For example, I have a Balance Amulet for my Ice, but since I can switch my pips to Balance, I feel like my Amulet is useless now.
Pretty much. It’s a good change in my opinion, now you don’t need a mastery amulet or to give up your amulet spot for the mastery. Although regular power pips still exist, it’s still just easy enough to use school pips.
Whoever has the higher arcmastery stat will gain them and sadly take away from anyone else with a lower one. Not sure why they did it this way but they did. Should only matter what the enemies is not your teammates

Amazing guide, you explain mechanics very clearly. I’m looking forward to your future guides!
Explained very well. Great vid !!
I have a question.

Can you make a shadow pip/Shadow card video. I just got to lvl 100 and I'm pretty lost on how they work or how I should use them.
How did you get rat spin on a level 30 wizard? I would love to have lore spells early level but you can only craft them in Avalon I thought
The spells can be crafted but you can also learn them from spellements! Rat spin is dropped by the gold skeleton key boss King Borr in grizzleheim!

Hmm when did wizard101 start that where you can switch between school pips?
This came out with the Novus world update in fall of 2022!
When questing with someone I’ve noticed only one of them will generate school pips. Any reason why?

The myth pip counts as a normal pip?
