My Newfoundland Maggie has been on prescription dog food for a little over a year now for a bowel problem. Its pricey but has worked so I feel its well worth the price. Sending lots of good thoughts Shelby's way. And kisses to all of them💖

My mother is a vet nurse and we had 2 full siblings Labradors who lived on the prescription dog food both passed at age of 16
I have a 16 year old chihuahua that was diagnosed with kidney disease 4 years ago. I switched his diet to prescription diet and his numbers immediately came down and have been stable since. He is still very healthy and going strong so what do you have to lose?!
I really hope that Shelby lives to 17!
My dog has kidney and liver disease and she's eating prescription food (Virbac Kidney support) but the thing that helps her the most is a supplement called silymarin, is a natural herb and my vet says it's the best :) I hope Shelby's levels get better

Hi Jess, one of my girls has been on a prescription dog food for her allergies since I've had (2015) its exspensive but its the only food that keeps her skin clear of sores that turn blloody😥. You would think after purchasing only thru a Veterinarian office or at Petsmart with a prescription card that they would send you a coupon or something but not one coupon and the food keeps going up. Some people say try her on homemade dog food and CBD oils but I think I'm going to talk with her Veterinarian as you did. I'm Shelby does well on the Rx food, keep us updated as best you can. See you did just fine home alone with the girls...as we all know you would.😊😊😊
Shelby reminds me of the mother dog who teaches and protect Kara and Memphis is the fun big sister I've noticed that when Memphis looks like she may be getting too rough with Kara Shelby gets between the two.

I remember waayyy back when Shelby got that hard boiled softy for Christmas with Shiloh! I thought either the toy was destroyed or just got too worn out by the dogs. So excited to see the toy again lol!
Watch out for the gas pedal on that charger. It's insanely fast. Do a big burnout in the car lot when you take it back.

Hi Jess. My Shih Tzus were on prescription dog food when they got older they lived to 15yrs and 18yrs. My Cookie is on Fresh Pet it's very good. Cookie suffers from ear infections. Fresh Pet is expensive, so Charlie is not on it. (you have to make decisions like that). I hope Shelby is okay, my Dad's side suffer from kidney problems. Shelby look so cute carrying her doll.
