Lovesong still holds fast to my heart, but goddamn this song pops off. I'm like you, it's not my new fave, but I like it loads.
What I love about their sound is that while it has gradually shifted, if their next album was upbeat and light it wouldn’t feel weird to me, like this is very much it’s own sound but then so are all of their title tracks, their track record has all sorts so they can do whatever they want going forward and it won’t feel like a departure from their sound
The second gen visuals it was reminding me of was vixx personally !!!!! Their darker concepts had a lot of similar themes and it’s chef’s kiss 💕💕💕

I agree with the 2nd gen comment and as someone who has been a fan for about a decade I really do miss some 2nd gen vibes so I’m glad TXT are trying different genres, and styles from lots of different eras of kpop ❤️

They are actually unreal, I would love for you to react to their comeback show on m2. They have performances to 3/5 of their new songs (and its all soooooo GOOD), plus a special performance that's really beautiful. Also, its such a funny comeback show, they're so chaotic lmao ( they try their hand in some acting and trust me it's sooooo chaotic).
The prechorus is definitely my favorite part. This song is 💙🔥

Opening Sequence LIVE is an EXPERIENCEEEE.
The mirror scenes give me Infinite-Bad vibes and the graveyard scene is staged/filmed suuupeer 2nd gen style. It reminds me of History's Queen MV and Beast's Fiction.
I had thr same opinion about the chorus. I've listened to the mini album for 30 minutes now and I like this song but its just the chorus that is my least favorite part even though it's hella catchy and easy to sing along to. However, every other song are fucking amazing. I know it's a mini but I wish this album had more song because it's really fucking good.
The mini album has no skips as expected. It's really good. I haven't decided if it's now my favourite. I feel like release day is maybe too early to decide, but it's definitely in the running.
I have no clue what second gen it reminds you of, but for some reason at the end of Yeonjuns rap section I could imagine it morphing into Soyeon's rap in G I-DLE's Lion. No idea where that came from, but I half expected YJ to add a "...I'm a queen" at the end of his bit. 🤷😅
I've settled into the knowledge I'll never had a bias in TXT overall, but maybe a bias or two per comeback, or per track even 😅 and I am OBSESSED with Beomgyu all through this song. I was thinking BG might be it for me this comeback, and then they all floored me on the vocals for the first track on the album. I continue to struggle.

I don’t know why but this comeback reminds me a lot of BAP (young wild & free, hands up)… all in all I enjoyed it a lot, especially the bridge and prechorus
This was insane, I loved it! I wasn’t in love with the chorus at first but it’s grown on me. Not my favorite title track of theirs but I still liked it a lot :)
when you said '2nd gen' my first thought was the chaser by infinite so maybe that?? also for the graveyard scene it somehow reminds me of vixx

Ooh okay I'm commenting only watching after your first reaction but it totally reminded me of like some group too!!!! Tbh for me I instantly thought of Block B (even tho they're 3rd gen so probably different from what you thought of). But the post-chorus chant(?)/rap of the 'good boy gone bad good boy gone bad good boy gone bad good boy gone baadddd' just fully gave me like Jackpot vibes with almost the showmanship of how the lines are said(?) - not sure if I'm explaining myself properly HAHA it's like this certain sort of flamboyance and roguish charm that I associate with Jackpot - Block B
I also thought of Block B with the kind of rock type of vibe. I also though of, don't really know why, vixx... Might be because they have had a few songs with a dark concept. Not exactly 100% similar, but they just popped up in my head😂
