She was also one of my tops in Queendom so I don't know why you're trying to project me as a hater of Bora when all I do is criticizing.

she’s saying the truth, someone could be a lower resgisyer but still have amazing range such as F2-Bb4/B4 which is the same as A3-D6. That is still 3 octaves and 4 notes (one semitone). It’s about your supported range not your ability to scream “high notes”.

Too many K-pop fans base a girl-Idol's singing ability on how high she can "support", and of course Lily can go crazy high -- this totally ignores low-tone girls -- e.g. Bae who's constantly praised by producers but Knetz say is the "worst" singer

That's not really Lily's point. Lily is very aware of the internet discourse regarding their vocals and she wasn't disagreeing with KVA folks. Her point is, someone can have the a 4 octave range, but if they cannot show development (support) in it, someone who only has a 2 octave range would but shows development (support) throughout a good portion of it would be better than the one with a range of 4 octaves. That's what Lily means and that's why she is one of the best if not the best 4th gen vocalist. She shows development in a big chunk of her range
@@cyj7n Fair. The point I was trying to make but obviously failed is that, like you said and I think what Lily meant is, it's what you can do with what you've got that matters. My other point was I think a lot of K-pop fans notably in Korea don't know what "support" IS. That's why I put it in quotes. I have a 3-octave singing range from bass to low-tenor but I'll be the first to say my upper support is weak (mostly b/c I'm badly out of shape).
I singled out Bae because she gets the most hate about her voice. It's true her voice is much thinner than Lily et al, but she's improved a lot over the last year. Her issue at this point is supporting while projecting, and that takes physical practice. Bae needs it because, without Jinni's lows, she's NMiXX's floor (critical for a vocal group)
ffs do you even know what "support" means? it is EVERYTHING in good singing. if you don't have a wide range but you have good support in your core range then that puts you on the path to being a good singer.
