- Eamonn Holmes recently opened up about how his ongoing back problems have altered his home life with our Loose lady Ruth, and their family. He explained that for months he has been unable to walk properly and is aware of the toll this must take on his loved ones. Ruth speaks about the effect it has had on their marriage, whilst Gloria, Brenda and Coleen discuss their thoughts on caring responsibilities for others, and whether or not they are concerned about burdening a loved-one with a health condition.

I started losing the gift of walking at age 30, I'm now 38 & can't walk at all.
Ruth would soon change her outlook if it was the other way around.
Exactly you never know what's around the corner. I get terrible pain when I walk as you get older it's all there for everyone

She's s career woman don't think she's up for caring for anyone espicaly her very sick husband.

For sickness and in health...not surprised she ended up going. She is what she says she is. I can understand from both sides that it probably wasnt easy.. but she does come across self centred.

Don’t forget a lot of these tv people put on a show to the public. When they presented This Morning they were prob having marital problems then, but kept quiet about it as it would have affected their job.
I am the least perfect, grumpy woman ever. But… I really love my husband. He’s been strong and manly and helped me with so much and i swear if anything incapacitated him I can only imagine how hard it would be for him not to be able to be and feel like the man he is and I would literally do anything for him and I mean anything. Day in day out and I truly couldn’t imagine ever feeling grumpy about it because I love him with all my heart, he genuinely means the world to me and all I’d want to do is help him and try and make him feel as capable and happy as I could. And again… I’m no saint, I’m a nightmare but ffs, it’s your man! He can’t help it!

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors - now divorcing. Media mask is why people are shocked - it’s private anyway - and despite what Eammon says he must have known as most woman will say they are unhappy before you get to the divorce proceedings
