I use to live in laval Quebec and I’m going back to Montreal and laval in September. I can’t wait to re live old memories. I’m really bummed out that on the way there I won’t be on one of the new trains which I found weird because i thought all the trains that go to Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa all switched to the new trains. I haven’t booked on the way back yet so maybe I’ll get lucky then
Oh you should try and take one of those new VIA trains! (if u havent yet) They are apparently coming to Toronto in the fall which im so excited about omg (There is already/was one in Toronto but only for training purposes)
I used the Megabus when I get from Scarborough to Montreal and back. It was a very good bus, it was smooth, makes one stop in kingston, and has a toilet onboard. If you plan to travel next year, do you plan to head to Alberta or south of the border?
Wow this is one of your longest videos I ever seen you post. How are you able to transfer this to a computer after shooting it before you upload it without locking up your computer?
@@TransmaniaOntariosorry I meant I was curious, how do you prevent a file this size from taking up all the storage space on your computer? But well done with this great travel video.
Weight limit on baggage for a passenger train is moronic and lacks logic. The locomotives are 3800 to 4400 horsepower (3 locomotives similar horsepower can move 70 freight cars easily) and rarely haul more than 7 coach cars on that line. If it's a space thing, they should add a baggage car and have it sorted and loaded ahead of time like at an airport especially between two major destination stations like Toronto and Montreal/Ottawa.
Are you serious ??? Can you lift 50 pounds up a 2.5 foot wide stairs by your self ?? Yes they do have VIA employees there to help. Even most airlines limit you to 50 pounds, and someone else is doing the physical labor for you. Inregards to baggage cars on the train, impractical, can you imagine say 10 to 20 people in Kingston rooting thru the baggage car, trying to find their baggage, take at least half hour to find it, off load it and the train to finally leave. The trip would take at least 7 hours at a minimum.
I took train 62 to Montreal back on July 26!
economy or business?

This brings back old memories. I am going this summer. ❤
I may want to do this someday where I take the Train from Toronto to Montreal.

Ahh they have still not upgraded to new fleet :(
Imagine VIA rail having personal entertainment screens like on airplanes.

Likely beyond the border.
@@TransmaniaOntario Where do you plan to head beyond the border? What about Alberta?
@@TransmaniaOntario Just a reminder, next year, I’m planning on going to cities of Orlando, New York City, and Calgary.
I'm thinking of taking VIA rail to Montreal next year for Otakuthon rather than Megabus, depends on the price difference
I heard that there is a bag weight policy to avoid carrying weapons, maybe.
If that were the case there would be x ray/ medal detectors and you wouldn't be able to bring liquids.
Weird baggage policy.
Longest video ever
Nope, his 11 hour subway compilation from last year is actually
@@Alex-bf9ec Could you help me to find it, please?

Yes because safety is cringe…
