Awesome blade brother. That’s my next purchase I believe. I just got the Tops M4x punisher. And it’s a beast. But that’s a really cool tactical blade my friend. There macarta handles are truly amazing and the knives kinda have a very cool look about them. Well done 👍
The way I like to carry that knife is to connect the dangle leather loop to my belt then put the whole sheath in my pants by my back. It works well. It stays out of sight with my shirt down and I know if it does pop out from my waistline the loop will catch it.

Loved the video. I have just subscribed. It reminds me of the TH-camr Tac when he got the Condor HD Kukri stuck in a log. You are a mix of Tac and Vinnie Jones, very funny and entertaining. I have the Blackout version which is gorgeous but have added a dangler. Outstanding knife.
@@DonnieBAllDay I was also sat on the fence re this but as soon as I saw the blackout I knew that it was the one. Your version has the best dangler. I have the Casstrom one but the d ring was too thick for the knife clips. I bought a thinner brass one of EBay and covered it with the outer from black paracord with a thin red stripe on it. It now looks the business. I am also used the Tops Key type A as a buddy knife held to the sheath with a tie rap then covered with a thick ranger band made from a bike inner tube. It sits very flat and I use the same black and red paracord as a lanyard to make drawing it out easy. It’s like these two knives were meant for each other and I find it a very good Bushcraft/survival system. Much lighter than my other system which is the Tops SXB with Tops MSK 2.5 in the front pocket with a Tops Tracker 4 clipped to the molle webbing on the back. This is a very versatile do anything system but big and heavy.

Funny you asked. I absolutely forgot, but building a fire at night, I used it to pry off two pallet slats then chopped them both in half with it. Flawless.

I guess this knife is a bit tricky on throws - due to mass distribution : I'm a profane in knives throwing - but I liked physics - and I noticed the somewhat awkward shape of it : much more mass distribution on the "top of Tops blade" versus near the edge ... Moreover, its having kind of "kukrish" design - which is great for chopping/ slicing - but of course , it would affect the dynamics on throwing ... You probably have to exercise more on throwing that thing - but I'm sure you'll became a real expert on that 😊 The Big, DBad soldier ! And I'm saying that with deepest respect ! All the best !!! I have the top operator 7 blackout edition and I do believe that it is one of my better knives as far as quality . defcon Hydra is a very good knife also and they didn't skimp on quality with those either. but for a fighting knife the S18 shuki lll limited edition there's jumping all over it and the blade shape is to die for, literally

Took the new Operator7 on a 33 mile backpacking trip with a Toaks Titanium wood stove. Blade steel and design is awesome. The finish is absolutely ruined after a half dozen fires. My new favorite blade looks like junk from China. NOT HAPPY. I emailed Tops.

That knife is a beast! I love some of the sexual innuendos you made Gabe me a good laugh that is why we get along my friend. I once held a tops khukuri and that thin was crazy awesome.
This one is bleh. First off, using 1075 and not 1095 is nothing more than a cost saving measure while charging full price. The location of the cross guard and the choil makes choking up on the knife almost silly. The choil does cost effective cutting edge though and panders to the masses that have been convinced that they want one. Yup, don't like this one.

I have not handled one extensively and I won't be. I know what I like in knife design and this one falls flat. If other people like it, that is awesome and just like my detest of ESEE I wouldn't tell someone not to buy one if that is what their heart was set on. Tops makes brutally strong knives and some, like the CUT 4.0, are very much on my short list. Oh, I still think the Operator 7 looks neat-I love recurve blades and unlike some super thick blades Tops nailed the edge geometry on this one. It just falls flat in too many areas for how I like the handle of a knife.

The Natchez. The thing is built for a single purpose. Fighting Bowie. The 7 is AWESOME, but nothing turns as fast as the Natchez.

Hard use will always ruin the pretty on an unpolished blade. They're about long time performance, not long time pretty.

My issued blade in Afghanistan was nice and thick. Its better. We need them to be more that cutters. You don't want a thin blade for trenching.

I've seen some claims that 1075 won't chip as easy as 1095 especially when it's real cold outside. To each his own.
@@vencemcadams2927 1075 is harder. It has less of a chance of breaking, but with proper heat treating, any steel can be near indestructible.
