  • Part 1 of a Push Rod (cantilever) Suspension build on a 1979 Mustang Track Car. Who doesn't love a good Fox Body build.
I required heavier spring rates and had a pair of Koni 8216 shocks laying around... so why not. Enjoy the build and comment below with any questions you have. I'm no engineer, but I'm having fun!
Note: forgot to mention in the notes part of the video, but for calculations, the rocker/bellcrank is a 1:1 ratio
Check out Part 2 here: • Push Rod (Cantilever) ...

Im no engineer and i seen this on another video. Too enlarge the shock hole the easiest way. Drill a hole saw the size you require into some 1/8th plate. Place the plate over the existing hole where you want it and tack weld the plate in place. Then the hole in the 1/8th plate is used as a keeper for the hole saw as the existing hole is too large for the drill bit that comes in the hole saw. When your done you can break the plate off at the tacks and clean ya shit up. Great job by the way. Thanks Mark from Australia.

Sorry about that My fingers jumped the gun ! What I wanted to say is that I really like the way You have done
Your setup . How well would a setup like that work on the street ? Thank You & Best Wishes 🇺🇲🇵🇷🦊👍

I think it would work perfectly fine on the street, but it would be for show more than anything unless you plan on running high spring rates on the street (which would make for a very rough ride). I would definitely brace the cross bar to the frame right away due to the harness of the street.

Where did you find that hex rod and inserts? Would love to use something similar.

Seriously though… Where did you get the bell crank? I only need the billet piece. Can you message me directly?

Unfortunately, I really did promise that I wouldn’t give names away as it’s not something the business wishes to do. I’m sure you’ll find similar pictures of the same product searching google for mustang pushrod suspension! Sorry I can’t be more helpful there.

To be frank, I don’t remember the exact price anymore but I can say it was somewhere in the ballpark of $350.
