You know what they never tell you. It takes 3 years before it actually starts to grow fast. And everyone who shows there huge bamboo seems to always forget that first 3-4 years of nothing. Ppl are afraid of it but don’t understand how long it takes before it’s amazing. Ps. I’m still waiting 2 years in now

      Hi dear friend
You are right and that's it:
The slow growth of bamboo in the first two years is primarily attributed to the biological and physiological characteristics of the plant. Bamboos belong to the grass family (Poaceae) and the subfamily Bambusoideae, and they are among the fastest-growing plants in the world. However, in the initial two years of bamboo cultivation, a significant portion of the plant's energy is allocated to root establishment in the soil and sourcing nutrients.
Thank you very much for expressing this point and your opinion. After 9 months of hardship and patience, the mother gets her wish when the baby is born.
I am glad that you follow our page. thank you.

True. And it takes another 3 years for the new bamboo shoots to mature. In total one needs to wait for minimum six years for first harvest.

Hello and good time, dear friend, thank you for watching our channel and video and registering your opinion. But Drasna plant and bamboo are different.
      Growth Habit:
Dracaena Compacta: It has a compact and bushy growth habit with dense foliage. It's often used as an indoor ornamental plant.
Bamboo: Bamboo is known for its rapid growth and can vary in height, from small ground covers to towering canes, depending on the species.
      Leaves:
Dracaena Compacta: The leaves are green, sword-shaped, and tightly packed, contributing to its compact appearance.
Bamboo: Bamboo leaves are typically narrow and can vary in size and shape among different species. They are arranged along the stems or branches.
      Scientific Classification:
Dracaena Compacta: Belongs to the genus Dracaena in the Asparagaceae family.
Bamboo: Belongs to the grass family Poaceae. It's a type of grass rather than a woody plant.
      Uses:
Dracaena Compacta: Primarily used as an indoor ornamental plant for homes and offices due to its attractive appearance.
Bamboo: Has a wide range of uses, including construction, furniture, paper, textiles, and even as a food source in some cultures.
      Habitat:
Dracaena Compacta: Native to southeastern Africa and often grown indoors in a variety of climates.
Bamboo: Found in diverse climates worldwide, from tropical to temperate regions.
      Cultural Significance:
Dracaena Compacta: Commonly used for decorative purposes, and there may be local names like "Siavash blood" associated with cultural or regional significance.
Bamboo: Holds cultural significance in various societies, often symbolizing strength, flexibility, and eco-friendliness.
      Maintenance:
Dracaena Compacta: Relatively low-maintenance, suitable for indoor environments, and may require occasional pruning.
Bamboo: Generally low-maintenance, but some species can spread aggressively, and containment measures may be needed.
In summary, Dracaena Compacta and bamboo differ in their growth habits, uses, and cultural significance. Dracaena Compacta is prized for its compact appearance and indoor use, while bamboo is versatile and has a wide range of applications, from construction to cultural symbolism. Both plants have unique characteristics and can add aesthetic value to different settings.
