That was such an intense and exciting gameplay! Watching you navigate through Gates with all the expansions and in hardcore mode was a blast. The way you handled each turn, especially with the addition of the Peddler and the Drunkard, was really impressive. The tension kept building with every round, but you nailed it and overcame the challenges brilliantly! Keep up the fantastic content; it’s always a pleasure to watch your plays and learn more about this game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to hitch a ride to deliver some fuel to the outpost before the Raiders catch up! 😉
I think what is was is that you did a good job of taking out the first few waves of enemies before they could do any real damage. This let you focus on building up your army so you had a pretty good mix of attack and abilities by the end. Though to be fair, accidentally scooting that one enemy off to early did buy you a little wiggle room but I do see you still winning even if you didn't do that.
Agreed. I thought the same thing when editing. I was like, “oh man, pushing that enemy through may have helped me quite a bit.” But I think you’re right, I’m fairly certain I would have just barely won had I not made that mistake.
Great, another Jason Glover game I have to get. Got Dustrunner on a whim, liked it so much I picked up Tin Helm/Realm and the Gnome pack within a week.
I just recorded a bunch of Desolate Playthroughs yesterday. It’s an awesome game; love the mechanics and the theme. I’d highly recommend getting The Gnome Pack #1 as well. It comes with extra content for all of his games, including Desolate. It has an 8 card deck of mini cards called, the Danger Deck, which adds buffs and special traits to the aliens. Iron Helm is my absolute favorite Jason Glover game. I got the base game and all expansions in one go and don’t regret it at all.

I love to hear it. All of Jason’s games are fantastic. If you get Gate, I highly recommend getting the Gates expansion. It adds a lot of content. 🎲🗡🛡
