Ansible does require linux as the controller, but the workaround to running Ansible on Windows is using WSL in Windows to run Ansible commands natively
Great video - since the making of this have you tried just using SSH on windows? By the time you do all the steps required to get winrm going, could have just installed openSSh and be running Ansible as it was intended. Would love to see video for making that work. Thanks for a great intro to try to get this to work.
I will review the video. I am curious, I have heard others say Ansible works better on Windows Servers than Windows Desktop due to connection issues. In you experience, is this the case? I am hoping that Ansible can work in a dependable manner for Windows Desktops.
Thanks for the great video bro. I don't even know that we can manage windows machines till I saw your video. Great information for both freshers and exp DevOps engineers.

Hi GK , i installed cygwin on my windows machine , can i use this windows machine as control mode , to configure other windows machine ??? If anyone know any thing where we can use window machine as control node please help me ☺️
Hi Bro, I’m using Terraform to build a windows vm in azure with azure DevOps yaml pipeline. Then to configure that windows vm my pipeline failing due to terraform extension block where I used to connect to windows vm
any software/tool on linux distr go and get installed under /etc/ unless if you would have chosen a diff installation directory. If you have installed ansible correct with default configurations you will defo see it there. And hosts file with /etc/ansible/hosts present automatically. you can also mention some custom inventory file anywhere on the file tree and jus have to mention while running ansible commands.
@@ThiruSings Thanks for the response... I created it and it worked... I wanted to check to ensure if this is mandatorily required there or put elsewhere too... You already answered it. Thanks again!

You should be able to do that by using Ansible Tower or dynamic hosts or writing custom automation.
add the hosts to the hosts file.
